Small town has good restaurants and vibe for outing.
It was horrible weather so we found this to drive around and listen to. It was absolutely fantastic and really good value for money. We thoroughly enjoyed it and even took our dog with us. My partner had no problems following the directions it was a little tricky in some areas but a quick u turn and we were back on track. Really informative and took us to some areas we wouldn’t have visited without the guide.
I was impressed with the places we saw that we'd never have visited by following the main roads. Unfortunately we were late starting the tour from a very specific place in the Keswick car park, hence on returning a day later, we decided to pick up from where we'd left off but unfortunately took the route going the opposite way! Consequently the commentary didn't relate to what we were seeing! Our fault entirely but felt the audio should be able to pick up our location and adjust to it.
A very well informed, full of culture and knowledge based tour - a different approach to every turn and stop, and some areas I wouldn’t have even known about had it not been for Martin’s tips Thank you !
Bad experience; waste of money; complicated; never again; not interesting; waste of time; why 100 characters to write a negative review

Again, I'm sorry about the poor experience you had. Best, Helene
Perhaps we didn’t have it set up correctly but found it very difficult to follow the directions and kept getting lost so gave up early on. Looked up the places to visit and did it on our own with sat nav. Shame as sounds like the commentary was good and other users have praised it. As said, we may just not have set it up correctly.
Hi there, You're correct in that most other users really enjoy this tour, so I'm sorry that you weren't able to. We also provide a map to the tour on your screen, which is especially helpful for driving tours, so we'd recommend having a look at the map if you're uncertain about the route in future. Last minute decision to do this audio drive tour due to the terrible weather. Great decision to get out and see some sights. Took maybe the first two stops to get used to how the app worked and what the icons meant. Would have been good to have bought the national trust all day parking ticket at £8.50 for the day, but we didn’t realise until too late. Each carpark is a diver so it would add up so we missed a couple of stops. Overall, thank you, great way to spend a day and useful and interesting commentary.
Great narrator and oration! I love that the tour is connected to our location; commentary and directions automatically pop up when you enter certain spaces. Lots of information and history alongside recommendations for trails and other lookouts. It works even if you skip a site or two or pause for a while and come back.
Couldn’t recommend this tour enough! Informative, fun and interesting. It really brings the natural history as well as the industrial past of the area to life. Like having your own personal tour guide in the car with you. An absolute bargain.
Very good day with lots of information. First time we visited the area. The tour was a best option we chose. Highly recommended
