We thoroughly enjoyed our day trip to the Lakes District and Windermere. Our tour bus only had 7 passengers so we were certainly not cramped - quite comfortable really. Our tour guide was very informative giving us plenty of time at each stop to see and do what we needed to do. The tour included a cruise on Lake Windermere from Boness, and then a train ride back to Haverthwaite where we were picked up by our driver. The day itself consisted of pouring rain - and very cold - most of the day, however there were parts of the day where we were able to enjoy without getting wet. I would certainly recommend this trip to anyone wishing to see the Lakes District - we got some beautiful scenic pictures of our day.
