Begin your journey at the magnificent Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion), one of Kyoto's most iconic landmarks and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Admire the dazzling gold-leaf-covered temple reflected in the tranquil Mirror Pond, surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens that transform with every season—from cherry blossoms in spring to vibrant maple leaves in autumn and snow-covered scenery in winter.
Explore the scenic district of Arashiyama, famous for its traditional streets, riverside views, and relaxing atmosphere. Travelers selecting the optional Kobe Beef Shabu-Shabu lunch will enjoy a delicious Japanese meal, while others have extra free time to explore local cafés, shops, and nearby attractions at their own pace.
Visit the world-famous Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine, celebrated for its thousands of vibrant vermilion torii gates winding through the forested hillside. Walk through the iconic torii tunnels and discover one of Japan's most photographed and spiritually significant shrines. (Please note: Due to traffic restrictions from January 1–5, this stop may be unavailable.)
Conclude your tour at Nara Park, where hundreds of friendly free-roaming deer welcome visitors in one of Japan's most beloved cultural destinations. Our tour guy Nick was great but the tour company he works for is not good. When we arrived at the Osaka meeting point, we could not find our names on any tour bus even we received the confirmation QR code. Nick was great, he was able to accommodate us on his tour bus. We booked and paid for the day tour including lunch but because our names not on the bus list, and the confirmation PDF from the travel agent showed no meal including but on the Viator apps, it showed booking with lunch. Nick was great that he told us no worries, he will check with the office later. Overall, it's a great day tour, we went the spots that we want to visit in Kyoto and Nara. Without Nick, we will not able to join the tour because the tour office is not very organized.
Gary was awesome and tour was great was definately worth taking the whole day to visit the temples here
Thank you for sharing your positive feedback. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the Kyoto, Arashiyama, Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine, and Nara Park Tour. It is wonderful to know that Gary provided excellent service and contributed to making your experience memorable.
Highly rate this tour. So much to see and so very colorful. The Todaiji Temple was an unexpected bonus. Whilst the deer were cute in Nara, they weren’t my highlight
