Short stop at local mussel farm to collect fresh mussels. The cruise then continues along the Krka River estuary, across Prokljan Lake and through the canyon leading to Skradinski Buk — the largest and most famous waterfall of the Krka River. Under UNESCO protection, this fortress is one of the essential Venetian fortifications outside Venice, built for defence against the Ottomans. Famous as one of the most beautiful forts on the Adriatic. It was built on the islet of Ljuljevac, to which people eventually paved the way, and access to the fortress is now possible by land. At the time of its construction, in 1540, it cost as much as half of Dalmatia, 40,000 ducats. The builders of the fortress are the distinguished Venetian Sanmicheli family.
Šibenik, as one of the historical Croatian cities, was first mentioned in the middle of the 11th century in a document of King Petar Krešimir IV. The view is dominated by its four fortifications: St Nicholas, St Michael, St John and Barone. Of the sacred monuments, of which the city has 24 churches and six monasteries, from a distance, the Cathedral of St James, a unique monument of European sacral culture attracts the eye's attention. The cathedral was constructed entirely of stone, without any other materials and is the work of Juraj Dalmatinac and Nikola Firentinac, placed under the care of UNESCO World Heritage.
Gavan's Court is the name of a place on Lake Prokljan, where, in addition to the historical remains of the walls, according to locals, fragments of marble, decorated stones, Roman bricks, lead pipes and jewellery were found. According to the legend, a haughty rich woman, a "gavanuša", rudely chased off an angel disguised as a beggar for three times, and when the angel flooded her court, the Lake Prokljan was created. * (gavan = rich, arrogant, haughty man)
The journey continues along the Krka estuary, across Prokljan Lake, and through the canyon leading to the foot of the magnificent Skradinski Buk waterfall. Arrival at Krka National Park is planned around 11:30. Here, you will have free time to explore a landscape of crystal-clear waters, lush greenery, and spectacular travertine waterfalls. Discover the famous Skradinski Buk, visit the historic Jaruga hydroelectric power plant, explore traditional watermills transformed into charming ethnographic museums, enjoy local restaurants, and browse authentic souvenirs. We enjoyed the sail and the guide on the boat.The upstairs seats could do with cushions as too hard when sitting so long. Disappointed as only saw the main waterfall as the other one was too far away as you had to walk to a boat then it was a 4 hour trip and we had no time for this.We did no realise this when we booked.We walked up loads of stairs in the heat which didn't really go anywhere worthwhile. There are plenty of places to eat and drink but the toilet is €2. We think there must be better ways to get to the falls and see them all. No fault of the ship and crew as they were charming.

On 7/28 with the Desto. A perfect excursion. The ship, built in 1900, has a great charm. The crew was very friendly and especially Goran spoke (in very good German) and joked with the guests. Everything seemed authentic. The mussels prepared on board were delicious. A beautiful trip on the Krka. There was sufficient time for the walk by the waterfall. Despite the many (other) tourists at and around the waterfall, we felt no stress. Thanks to the entire crew.
Excellent service from an amazing, friendly team! From check-in to dropping anchor, everyone was helpful and smiling. The bay views were incredibly scenic, and the team was very informative about all the local highlights. The intro to the Krka Waterfall experience was super helpful, and the mussel tasting was excellent. They make you feel right at home! Special shout out to Meile, Vandesa, and the captin.

The boat trip and ship crew were great and very polite. Pleasantly relaxed atmosphere on the ship. The national park was pretty crowded.
The park is very, very beautiful! There are plenty of vantage points for beautiful photos. Don't forget the small waterfalls, with crystal clear water. You can see all the fish and species of aquatic plants very nicely. The route by boat was also very nice, fresh mussels picked up and then had a nice meal. It was very busy and touristy. You walk in a long line over the wooden decking. The food and drinks have high prices. So bring your own.
Good speed and explanation, beautiful park with all the freedom to do your thing. Tasty mussels on the way out and popcorn on the way back. Waterfalls are really very beautiful.
Instructions for meeting the boat were clear and concise. We were greeted by friendly, helpful, and good humoured crew. Departure was bang on time. The boat was very well kept and maintained. Prices at the bar on board were more than reasonable and we were fed the freshest mussels you could ask for - delivered direct to the boat from the mussel farm as we were en-route. All in a very professional and well organised outfit. In terms of the trip itself, Krka waterfalls is amongst the most beautiful parts of this planet I have ever seen. €70 is an absolute steal for this trip.
