Krakow: Zakopane Day Trip with Funicular, Tasting & Thermal Baths

Great day, definitely worth a visit to Zakopane and the thermal spa. Be aware that tickets for the thermal spa and the Funicular are not included in the basic price. We were aware of this however others in our group were taken by surprise. It is a matter of reading what’s included! Our guide Szymon was absolutely brilliant. He was perfectly fluent in English and Spanish, full of knowledge, approachable and extremely helpful. Couldn’t give him a high enough praise. Would recommend to anyone

My girlfriend and I were really lucky to get Antonio as our guide. Honestly don't think the day would've been the same without him. He picked us up on time and was easy to talk to right away, which set a nice tone for the whole trip. The drive out to Zakopane alone was worth it. Beautiful views the whole way, and Antonio kept pointing things out and sharing bits of history so it never felt like "just" a drive. He also stopped so we could see Kościół Matki Boskiej Częstochowskiej, which we wouldn't have known about otherwise. Zakopane itself was stunning. The mountains and forests are something else in person. What I liked most was the mix: we got a proper taste of the local culture (sheep's cheese, some vodka tasting) but also had time to just wander the streets ourselves without feeling rushed. Back in Kraków, Antonio pointed us to Morskie Oko and Wilczy Dół for dinner, both solid picks and left us very happy. overall the whole day felt well thought out without being over-scheduled, and we left happy. We're actually already talking about going back to spend more time in Zakopane specifically. Antonio made a big difference, would recommend him to anyone doing this trip.

Antoni, our guide, was the best part of the experience. He helped our group both in English and Spanish. He had much knowledge. The experience was amazing, especially the thermal baths. Add on the sauna and massages - so worth it! The only thing that stopped it from being perfect was the minibus. It was very small without much leg room. But after the starting trip, you quick forget this.

The visit is recommended 💯 x. 💯. My family chose to recreate in Zakopane and the Tatra Mountains, but our excursion companions ended up delighted with the thermal baths. Our guide Pau was charming, very pleasant, and attentive to everyone at all times. She sent us the location; if you had any questions, you could call her and she would resolve any doubt you might have.

Pau has been a wonderful guide, very kind and attentive, she explained the entire itinerary so there would be no doubts and created a WhatsApp group so we could all stay connected with her, that was great! The meeting point was a bit disorganized since it is not clear that it is inside the station and most of us were outside of it. They don't warn you that in Zakopane many places don't take cards, so you have to carry cash. The spa was wonderful, although it took us a while to get in. Honestly, I recommend the excursion because the place is very beautiful 😊 Ana

Overall a good trip with beautiful scenery. Our guide was very good. Our only concern was the treatment of the valis smallest lamb. Was constantly getting lifted by everyone who passed through including small children. No concern for the animal at all. We voiced our concerns to the guide that the animal looked ill and not moving, hanging its head standing in full sun. Our guide spoke to the owner/staff about our concerns but he basically laughed and said that the animal was fine. This animal was certainly not well. It must have been exhausted and hurt with all the handling. This happened at the vodka and cheese stop.
