Itinerary
Many people know that Armenia is the first Christian country in the world. It was officially accepted in 301 when Grigor was released from the capital's prison, which was here before. He was imprisoned here for 13 years for his Christian faith. Being the last hope of the sick king, he cured him, after which the king accepted Christianity as the state religion. At the same time, the best view of Mount Ararat opens from here. Being very close to Ararat gives you the opportunity to see the entire structure of the mountain and admire its beauty.
Medieval Armenian taste and architectural talent were interblended in Noravank, founded in the 9th century, this monastery developed in the 13th and 14th centuries. Surrounded by high red-coloured mountains and built from stones taken from those rocks, Noravank harmoniously complements the local landscape, remaining unique in its kind.
Arriving in Jermuk, we go to see the waterfall. The 68-70 meter high "Mermaid's Braids" waterfall tells us the legend of a forbidden love. According to this legend, a prince curses his daughter for meeting her lover, and then she turns into stone. Her hair still flows in the form of water, which is why the waterfall gets the name "Mermaid's Braids."
At the end of the tour, we visit the center of winemaking in the village of Areni, where we are hosted by the Areni Wine Factory. Our guests can taste different types of Armenian wines, including those made from Areni grapes. We will also see the cellar, where the wines are stored, and on the upper floor, there's a nice cafe.

Our tour guide Anahit was excellent. She went out of her way to make sure we all understood the sites, and she was very friendly and patient. Her English explanations were very good and accurate. I highly recommend this tour.
This was one of my best trips. Professional team, well-organized and very safe. The guide Lili was beyond knowledgeable and helpful. All the information provided by her throughout the tour was very interesting. Being born in the places that we visited, i found out a lot of new and interesting details about those places from Lili. I greatly enjoyed each moment and am highly recommending. If you ever visit Armenia, make sure to book your tours through One Way Tour and attend one of Lili’s tours. Promise you will enjoy it. She also took the best pictures of me🤗

Gor was very knowledgeable and kind. It was a hot day and he made sure to always stand where there was shade or a place for the group to sit down. Plenty of water and time to enjoy each spot, both with the guide and on our own.
Your kind words are a testament to our shared goal of showcasing the beauty of Armenia to the world. Thank you for choosing us and for sharing your positive experience.

Your positive feedback makes our day! We’re thrilled to have been part of your journey, and we hope to assist you again on your next adventure. Thank you for choosing us!
- The itinerary is ambitious but also leaves relatively little time at each site. - Lunch stop was at an awful food court hangar. - Wine tasting totally underwhelming — they poured so little in the glass you could barely sense the wine (which turned out to be undrinkable, anyway). This stop should be entirely cut out. - Air conditioning in the car wasn’t functioning. This is unacceptable for a mid-summer excursion.
Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We’re glad you found the itinerary interesting, although we’re sorry that some aspects of the experience did not meet your expectations. The itinerary is indeed quite ambitious, as the goal is to give travelers the opportunity to see several highlights in one day, which naturally means that the time at individual locations is limited. We’re also sorry that the lunch and wine tasting did not meet your expectations. We’ll take your comments into consideration when reviewing these parts of the itinerary. Most importantly, we sincerely apologize for the discomfort caused by the air conditioning. A comfortable temperature is especially important during a summer tour, and we understand how frustrating this must have been. We’ll make sure your feedback is passed to the team responsible for transportation. Thank you again for your honest feedback — it helps us improve the experience for future travelers.
The tour guide speaks good english. She explained the history of Armenia, the symbols, the borders and relationship with neighboring countries etc. Very informative. The tour itenary itself is good, just a bit tiring with the 12 full hours, in july hot sun.
Your positive feedback makes our day! We’re thrilled to have been part of your journey, and we hope to assist you again on your next adventure. Thank you for choosing us!

I had Anahit as my tour guide for this trip and a second trip to Tatev. She is friendly and shares clear information. There is enough time to listen to explanations and see the sights afterwards. The organisation was great. The only negative is Hin Areni, the food was not good at all and the wine tasting is less than one full sip. The lady at the winery was not very knowledgeable. I did 4 tours in total with One way and can recommend them.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience! We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed your trips and that Anahit helped make your experience memorable with her friendly approach and informative guiding. We'll be sure to pass along your kind words to her. We also appreciate your honest feedback about the lunch and wine tasting at Hin Areni. We're sorry that this part of the experience didn't meet your expectations. Your comments have been noted, and we'll discuss them with our partner to help improve the experience for future guests. Thank you again for your recommendation. We hope to welcome you back to Armenia for more adventures in the future!
