This was so stressful. Got off the ship and struggled to find the person. Found her, she said that they added 3 people and had to go get a different vehicle. We left 45 minutes late. On the way to the felkirk wheel, the driver told us we needed to us our phones to get tickets. No tickets were available online. He said we'd go there, and see it, but not take the ride. He offered to add seeing Highland Cows in, which we already had set for another excursion. We got there and were able to go up, but for a shortened ride. The other addon people really wanted to see the cows. So we went to the Kelpies (magnificent!), and then to cows, which were hard to see in the back of a pasture. Went to visit a cathedral Time was going, and there was still supposed to be a stop at the art museum. I talked to the guide, he said we'd get back by 5:15 when we were originally supposed to get back by 3:30. One of the addon folks wanted to go to the art museum, so that's what we did. I strongly objected and he cut the time short for that visit. I was trying to figure out whether I could get an uber, but traffic was terrible. I picked an excursion that allowed us to get back with tons of time, but the delay in getting started, plus adding a cow stop, plus traffic because of an accident was terrible. The stress really took away from the experience of the cathedral, the Kelpies, and the Wheel. The guide was nice, but they shouldn't have accommodated the last minute addons that way. And they should have stuck to the itinerary that was presented. He acknowledged that the time listed in the description was wrong and shouldn't have been billed that way. They should be more clear about how to meet them at the port, they should get wheel tickets ahead of time rather than expecting that people will have cell service to get them last minute. Again, nice people, but geez it was stressful!
Great tour, Kelpies amazing, wheel interesting, Glasgow lovely and our driver/guide was topnotch!
The tour took us to all the places we were interested in. Had a great tour guide, Jamie, who was funny and had knowledge about the history and culture of places we visited. Jamie was also very patient. We highly recommend this tour, especially if you are not in Glasgow for a long period of time.
This tour was worth every penny. Our driver & guide Jamie was amazing. He was knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. Jamie was very accommodating as well. I would recommend this tour and Jamie to all my family and friends.
Jimmy, of the Stewart clan, (Jimmy Stewart?) was amazingly helpful and extremely kind and entertaining. He spent more time than we expected with us and made certain that we saw everything we wished to see in Glasgow. I highly recommend seeing the Kelpies and taking a lift on the Falkirk Wheel! The Kelingrove Museum is a fun museum, with a smattering of interesting items from local animals to an important Dali painting.
Sergio was our guide and was very knowledgeable about Scotland. My husband and I were the only ones on this tour and we couldn't have asked for more. You cant go wrong booking with this company.
We had a wonderful day with the irrepressible Jimmy from Serco Tours. Informative, amusing and ever helpful, Jimmy had planned ( and was able to adjust) a day full of delights- especially catering to our interest in Mackintosh’s Glasgow. We even had recitations of Burns from our kilt wearing guide. A fantastic guide and day!
A lovely day out .. as we were the only passengerswe did the trip in a Merc. which gave us more flexibility with timing. Great conversations !
The tour was great. We covered a lot of ground but did not feel rushed. It was left up to me how much time I wanted to spend at each stop. Driver was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The Falkirk Wheel was amazing and the Kelpies were breathtaking.
We were excited to see that we were the only people going on the tour. It just got better when we met out driver/tour guide z Jimmy. He was knowledgeable. Kind, funny and kept a running review of places we passed by. He gave us back stories about the places we visited and even took is to a great museum in time to hear an amazing pipe organ concert. We hit î off and laughed and learned our way through the day. I would highly recommend this tour and tour guide. I always check to see if Viator provides a tour when we travel to New places. They never disappoint.
