We had Jyoti as a guide. It was a pleasant and original walking tour that goes beyond just explaining and seeing sights but that immersed us in the old town, with getting to know from of crafts and culture. Highly recommended!
My family and I did three separate activities with Le Tour De India in Jaipur including the morning bike tour, the evening walk, and a tour of Amer village. Each experience was equally impactful and our guides, Hanu and Jyoti, were wonderful. I was particularly impressed by the tours’ immersion with the locals and how genuinely the tour guides interacted with the communities we were visiting. Also, both tour guides were exceptionally knowledgeable and friendly. My families trip to Jaipur would not have been the same without Le Tour De India and I am exceptionally grateful for the amazing experiences they have created.
My #1 suggestion for anyone visiting Jaipur is to book all your tours with La Tour de India. The energetic guides are truly passionate about what they do, happily and knowledgeably answer any question about India, and curate remarkable experiences that allowed my family and me to authentically connect with craftspeople and other denizens of Jaipur. This tour —with the fabulous guides Jyoti & khushi—takes you on rooftops, into a private home, through colorful markets and beyond. I had been thinking of booking a block printing tour with another company but I’m so glad I didn’t becuse this tour provided that experience to us! The day after this tour, When our plans changed at the last minute for an experience our hotel had tried to arrange, I immediately called Khushal and he created a bespoke tour of the village under the Amer fort with another of our favorite Le Tour de India guides, Hanu. Before I came to India, I had booked several Jaipur tours with other 5-star TripAdvisor companies. None can even begin to compare with Khushal’s team.
If you want to have the time of your life, book with Jyoti and prepare to be transported into a perfect night of adventure, learning and making a new Indian friend. As long as we were coming all the way to Jaiper, we decided to expand our day with this amazing night tour: Jyoti made it the best four hours of our entire Indian vacation.
I really enjoyed making bangles. They decide the color on the spot and make it by hand. It was like magic to see more than 5 colors mixed together into a pattern. This time I saw three things: stone statue making, block printing and bangle making, so I think it is a good deal and I felt the awesome handicrafts of Jaipur. In addition, our guide Khushi introduced us to places where the sunset is beautiful, and we got many good photos.
We had a wonderful evening with Pushp and Kushni! Wondered around the streets of the city, stopping at little food shops to try out classic snacks. Pushp & Kushni were a great laugh and talked us through the foods, traditions and local area amazingly!
I had an absolutely wonderful experience. It was the perfect blend of culture, craftsmanship, and incredible food. Our guide Jyoti was knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about the city, sharing fascinating stories and insights that brought Jaipur’s history and daily life to life. It felt authentic and personal, not something you’d get from a typical tour. I felt this tour was a fantastic way to explore Jaipur beyond the usual tourist spots, but also seeing the highlights along the way. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to experience the heart and soul of the city!
This was our second walking tour of Jaipur. If the first one was excellent then this was even better. First by electric tuktuk and then by foot, Pushp and Kushi guided us through their city. We watched the marble carvers, joined the block printers (and their neighbours wedding ceremony), learned the ancient skill of bangle making and ate a wonderful selection of street foods from fritters , to potatos soaked with tamarind, pickles, fig halwa and handmade cardomom kulfi. We started at 4pm and followed the sunset til the city came alive. Pushp really loves his city and walked us through traffic without a pause. Really, really a must-do experience and another fabulous product from Le Tour de India, who we have toured with 3 times in the last 2 weeks includingbone in Udaipur.
The best afternoon with Pushp and Khushi! If you want to experience and wander areas that you otherwise would not know to go to, this is it❤️ After having a fantastic time with Pushp for the cycling tour, we decided to join him the next day for another tour! This tour felt like hanging out with friends, all while learning a lot about Jaipur’s strong craftsmanship industry found in color hand blocking and sculpturing. Riding on a rickshaw in the city, we were shown the arts and fantastic street food! I almost don’t want to spoil the details of what we did, but what I can say is that I knew this was not something I could recreate without the team. It also ended at a perfect time for dinner, and wish we had another day to do another tour!!
A truly special experience wandering the markets of Jaipur’s old city - full of colour, craft, and soul. We tried block printing, watched sculpture and bangle making, and soaked in the artistry everywhere. Sharing masala chai with Jyorty and Pushpy while getting to know them was amazing. Would 100% recommend!
