Ali was a wonderful guide of food, culture and history. He took us on a funny and interesting adventure of wonderful tastes, smells and experiences. The food was AMAZING. And his company was an utter pleasure.
Excellent food tour. Good option that you could pay for what food you wanted. Guide was very organized. Group was about 10 mostly couples
The tour was a solid 20 out of 10. Everything was perfectly balanced—the food, the pace, the timing, the company, absolutely everything. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We also loved that the tour takes you through both sides of Istanbul, the European and the Asian side. The ferry ride between them gave us enough time to digest the dishes from the first few stops, so by the time we reached the next places, we were ready to enjoy every bite again. The tour ends with dessert, which is the true highlight, because Turkish desserts are simply delicious.
Great excursion with many different flavours of Istanbul. Thanks to Ali for being great guide
Ali is amazing. I recommend doing this on the first day you when you arrive, giving you much better idea of the food scene here
Our tour guide was Murat, I went solo but joined a great bunch of people. The tour was interesting with lots of tit bits added thanks to Murat's vast knowledge and passion educator and sharing about Turkey. HIghly recommended for a true experience of Turkey.
We had a wonderful four hours with Anil exploring local Turkish treats, back streets, ferries and markets. He was very knowledgeable and communicative before and during the tour, great company and interesting to chat to. Thank you x
Directions were very clear and meet up was prompt. Ali was a great guide and enjoyed the history lesson along with the introduction of local cuisine: ranging from Gözleme, balik durum, Çiğ köfte, lahmacun and dessert. We saw parts of the European and Asian side of Turkey… via a ferry across the Bosphorus. Highly recommend a food tour in Istanbul with Ali!!
A great way to start your trip in Istanbul to get a feel for the city, food, and culture.
We had a great experience on our food tour with Ali. He was knowledgeable about local food and its history, and the restaurants and vendors selected (~5-6) offered great variety. Would recommend to anyone visiting Istanbul for the first time.
