Beautiful scenery. The description of the tour left off the details that we would sleep in a tent with a yoga mat and my toilet was a dirty 1 gallon bucket and a roll of toilet paper. No lodge, no facilities, no privacy. The guide pitched a tent on a balcony of someone's home. We shared the first night with chickens next to the tent. Guide was surprised I did not want to relieve myself in the middle of the boat. Guide was nice. English hard to understand. We were mostly fed rice and eggs because the one chicken he bought for the 4 day trip was finished the second day. Also, we were encouraged to urinate in the Amazon river. The same water that our dishes were washed in 3 times a day. It was a miracle we did not get sick. We ended the trip a day earlier than planned. No where in the description mentioned how basic this trip was going to be. Viator was not at all interested in our complaints and ignored our claim. I will no longer trust Viator as a tour company. They obviously do not vet the tours. I have pictures of our sleeping arrangements and toilet facilities to upload.
