This guide-led experience brings travelers together for a well-paced look at the places and activities in the itinerary. Snorkel in Belize’s marine environment with a guide who helps you spot reef life and explains how to observe animals responsibly; sightings, visibility, and the exact route depend on sea conditions. Allow about 5 hours for the full experience. This is a shared experience with a listed maximum of 25 travelers. fuel surcharge and bottled water are included. lunch is not included. Travelers should have a moderate level of physical fitness. The experience is not wheelchair accessible. It is not recommended for pregnant travelers, travelers with back problems, and travelers with heart problems or other serious medical conditions. Guests should be comfortable in open water and prepared for weather-related changes.

Itinerary
After the snorkeling safety briefing and equipment check, spend approximately 1 hour 30 minutes exploring Hol Chan Marine Reserve with the guide. Observe coral formations, reef fish, and other marine life while following reserve rules, maintaining safe distance, and avoiding contact with coral or animals.
Spend approximately 1 hour 30 minutes snorkeling at Shark Ray Alley with the guide. Observe nurse sharks, southern stingrays, and other marine life from a respectful distance. Enter and exit the water only when instructed, avoid touching or chasing animals, and follow all guide and marine-reserve safety rules.

Again great crew. And diving with sharks what's not to love?
Clear water, great boat crew and cooperative seas creatures made for one wonderful experience. We had the thrill of swimming with turtles and 'enjoying' the company of so many other marine life. The water is calm enough that, so long as you are bold, even non swimmers donning a life jacket can easily enjoy the experience.
We started early in the morning and was picked up at X' Tan Ha. When we arrived at Hol Chan, it was packed with several boats and lots of snorkelers. Our fun guides decided to go first to Shark Ray Alley, which was a wonderful decision as there was only one other boat there. There were so many nurse sharks feeding on the chum they threw in, it was incredible. We got to snorkel and see sting ray, nurse sharks (obviously), and lots of other fish. After we left Shark Ray Alley, off to Hol Chan, where we spent about 35 minutes with our guide snorkeling the area where we saw more sting ray, sea turtles. Our guide would swim to the bottom and get some of the fish to move out of the reef. We saw Jacks, groupers, gray snappers, angelfish, but we didn't see any seahorses. Definitely recommend.
Not only were the sea creatures amazing and the boat captains fun - they taught me how to wear my snorkel gear and how to snorkel - after 40+ years of snorkeling! It was amazing. Our hotel - Xanadu - set it up so you could call them and see what company they used!
