Itinerary
Our guide will meet you at White Rose Restaurant. You will stop there and try dumplings made from a family recipe that has been kept for over 130 years.
Stop at a local market when many food stalls open for students after school. You will try five tastings of traditional cakes. You may be surprised because they are savory, not sweet.
Because it was an international trading port, where people met and shared cultures, Hoi An became the place of the first Catholic church in Vietnam. There are many interesting stories about Vietnam’s history from this church. You can learn more when you join the tour with our knowledgeable guide.
Visit the Ba Le Well area and sample the food here, where locals still share stories and rumors about the special water here.
Visit Hoi An Central Market. Many stalls look the same, and some sellers can be pushy. But there is one special stall that Anthony Bourdain visited and featured on his TV series. Even though it has no queue and is not crowded, it feels like a forgotten Anthony Bourdain spot.

This is a brilliant food tour! Quin is a wonderful guide, she is very knowledgeable and a real foodie.
We had a really lovely time with Leo getting to try a bunch of local spots that we would’ve missed otherwise. Good food for really good value, with very comprehensive and fun stories and history attached!!
Leo was very informative and lovely! My family really enjoyed the experience and left the tour very full. There was a good variety in the foods we tried and we also got to try foods we wouldn’t usually find without a guide. We especially liked the Cao Lau noodles and the tapioca dumplings.
Leo was very informative and led us to very nice spots to get an idea of what the cuisine around Hoi An is like. Would definitely recommend!
Very good experience thanks to Léo. I was able to discover many typical dishes from Vietnam and Hoi An. Leo takes the time to present all the dishes and their history.
A wide selection of exciting dishes from properly local locations. Leo was a brilliant guide who taught us a lot about Vietnamese food and history along the way on the tour. Recommended!
Man was our friendly guide who took us to 7 delicious stops spanning dumplings, noodles and a couple of sweet treats. We ate at local spots I never would have otherwise visited. A great off the beaten path option for those looking to learn more about Hoi An’s food and history. My favourite was trying to contrasts of three types of dumplings and learning about how the Chinese and Japanese trade influenced the local food.
Excellent food tour and a great way to discover Hoi An’s local food scene. We visited many different places that I would never have found on my own. Our guide, Man, spoke excellent English and did a fantastic job explaining not only the food but also the history and local culture. The atmosphere with the other travelers was very friendly, making it a fun and social experience. I highly recommend this tour if you want to try authentic Vietnamese food and learn more about Hoi An.
Andy gave us a great food tour of Hoi An! From the first moment he felt welcome and took us along the nicest places you would never find as a tourist yourself. We tasted a lot of delicious, authentic Vietnamese dishes and Andy talked with great enthusiasm about the local culture and traditions with every dish. The tour was perfectly organized, relaxed and extremely enjoyable. Andy spoke good English, had a lot of knowledge of the area and made sure everyone felt comfortable. Thanks to him, we got to know Hoi An in a completely different way. This food tour was without a doubt one of the highlights of our trip through Vietnam. Are you in Hoi An and still unsure? Then be sure to book a tour with Andy. Highly recommended!
This was a great experience trying a variation of local dishes in Hoi An. We visited local food hotspots that were not mentioned online, and wouldn’t have thought to try, but were a very pleasant surprise! Our guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic, warm and friendly. Thank you!
