Good tour with a good guide, I would only remove the stop they make us at a site with abandoned buildings because there is nothing to see and time is wasted.
Our guide Melvin was the best! He gave us loads of facts and information and was also funny and attentive to our needs. The tour was well thought out. Overall great, I would recommend!
I took a day tour of the Historic Centre of Malacca with an English guide. There were many Japanese participants, but our guide, Nadia, explained the ethnic group, religion and history of Malaysia in easy to hear English. They told me to ask as many times as I could if I didn't understand anything, and they made sure I had a good time and place to meet them, so I didn't have any trouble. They took me to the floating mosque, which was not on my original schedule, and took pictures of me. It was a one-day trip, but we were able to see all the sights of Malacca, and the nyonya food for lunch was delicious and memorable.
Participate in a tour around the World Heritage Sites of Malacca. It was a great opportunity to learn about the history of being governed by many countries. It was a wonderful city that combined modern cityscape with history and culture. I don’t know if I could understand half the reason why the guide was trying so hard to explain to me that I didn’t have enough language skills… I would search for sweat every time and hmm… but the guide was very kind and polite. Unfortunately, there was no beer, but lunch was delicious too! After lunch, you'll be free to do whatever you want for about two hours, so it's a good idea to plan ahead. Our family hastily tried a river cruise, but gave up due to lack of time. What a waste of time looking into it! We ended up staying at a nearby cafe, but that was also a bit confusing. It was a long day, but it was a good experience.
Mr. Johnson was very understanding and kind to those of us who participated, even though he didn't speak much English.
It's a bit complicated for individuals, with many transfers, but the tour takes you straight from KLCC to Malacca. In addition, the bus on the way provides commentary on the history of Malacca, and you can also take a guided tour there, so overall I think the cost-effectiveness is pretty good.
The guide was very friendly and excited the participants. I was also happy because he regularly spoke to me even when I was alone. He also gave me detailed information about history and recommendations for the area, so I could enjoy it while learning.
William was knowledgeable and was happy to share historical information. In the future, it would be nice to pace thr tour for the elderly, as well.
Thanks to William and Coach Driver for the organized trip.
We had a great day in Malacca. Ahmed was such a fantastic guide. Highly recommend.
