We now head down the other side of the valley for views right across Lake Lugano an onto Switzerland. Walk along an old Roman road and through what once was a hilltop castle. We reach a local 'ritrovo' or meeting point where locals come to play cards, boules, have a coffee or a glass of wine.

Our last scenic walk is through the nature reserve of Lake Piano - a peaceful path leads round the lake and is the perfect occasion to enjoy the mountains reflected on the water & take in the surrounding fields and woods - not to mention the Romanesque churches that dot the landscape.

Fantastic 30 KM ride beginning in Menaggio with Luigi. The tour was fantastic and the sights were beautiful. Luigi is a wonderful guide and so knowledgeable of the area . The bike path was easy to navigate with helpful hints from Luigi, His knowledge of the history and importance of the sights was outstanding ! Absolutely one of the best tours we have done . Loved seeing Lake Lugano !
