Description

Discover the local side of Bangkok on a 2 hour longtail boat canal tour. Cruise through Bangkok’s historic waterways and scenic canals, passing traditional wooden stilt houses, colorful temples, and lively river communities. Along the way, admire the majestic Big Buddha from the boat and explore a charming local artist village filled with culture and hidden gems. Led by our award-winning 2025-2026 team and excellent English-speaking local guides, this tour offers authentic stories, cultural insights, and a true taste of Bangkok life. Perfect for travelers looking for a real local experience, this canal tour blends history, culture, and everyday life all from the comfort of a traditional longtail boat. Ps. During high water and peak season (Nov–Apr), canal locks can be congested, causing 45–90 min delays. To ensure a smooth 2-hour cruise exploring local life, we may adjust the route and drop you off near the main street to avoid heat, pollution, and crowds.

Great tour and pics

A great canal tour. Some of the artist village shops were closed, but there were still lots of options. Namon (Holy Water) was a great guide and took the perfect pics with the golden Buddha in the background.

Authentic and engaging Bangkok river tour

A great tour giving real insights into the authentic side of life in Bangkok. Our guide Nammon was so friendly, engaging and informative with excellent English. The views were beautiful and we really enjoyed exploring and shopping at the Artists Village. At the end of the tour, we wanted to visit Wat Arun, so they offered to drop us off there instead which was so helpful! This tour was a highlight of our trip and great value for money.

Lovely time on this boat trip

We had a lovely time. Som was amazing. 2 hours was enough for us and we enjoyed it, especially as our itinerary was really full up. We got to see big Buddha, do some shopping, get some food and buy some cute family bits

10/10 Canal Boat Tour w/ Fluke

Had an amazing time on the Hidden Bangkok Boat Tour with my fantastic tour guide, Fluke. The tour was 2 hours and was a great mix of canal life and landmarks. The stop in the Artist Village was a treat and I was able to wander for about 40 minutes around the stalls and Artist House. I went on a weekday morning and there were almost no crowds, which was a treat to explore nearly solo. Fluke was funny, knowledgeable, and an overall great time. I would highly recommend him for any tour.
