Oodi is Helsinki’s stunning central library, opened in 2018. Known for its striking modern architecture, Oodi is more than just a library—it’s a vibrant community hub offering books, creative spaces, a cinema, café, and panoramic city views. Located opposite Parliament House, Oodi has quickly become a symbol of Finnish innovation, learning, and open culture.
The Helsinki Olympic Stadium, opened in 1938 and designed by Yrjö Lindegren and Toivo Jäntti, is Finland’s largest stadium and a landmark of functionalist architecture. It famously hosted the 1952 Summer Olympics and remains a major venue for sports and events after its latest renovation in 2020.
The Sibelius Monument is a famous sculpture in Helsinki, Finland, honoring composer Jean Sibelius. Created by Eila Hiltunen in 1967, it features over 600 steel pipes and a bust of Sibelius, symbolizing his music and legacy.
Uspenski Cathedral is Helsinki’s striking red-brick Eastern Orthodox church, known for its golden domes and hilltop views. It’s the largest Orthodox cathedral in Western Europe.
Helsinki Cathedral is a neoclassical white church with green domes, overlooking Senate Square. Completed in 1852, it’s one of the city’s most iconic landmarks.
Kauppatori, or Market Square, is Helsinki’s lively waterfront market, famous for its local food, crafts, and vibrant seaside atmosphere. We’ll spend about 30 minutes here, giving you time to enjoy Finnish cuisine or a light refreshment while soaking in the market’s unique charm.
Suomenlinna is a historic 18th-century sea fortress and UNESCO World Heritage Site located just off the coast of Helsinki. During our visit, we’ll spend about two hours exploring its scenic pathways and fascinating history together.
Kauppatori means “Market Square” in Finnish. After we return from Suomenlinna by ferry, our tour concludes here. You’ll have free time to explore the charming stalls, sample local treats, and enjoy the lively atmosphere at your own pace for the rest of the day. The tour is aimed to end around 4pm.

Truly an outstanding tour. Our guide, Sergio, was fantastic: he made it so we felt to be on a private tour. From our seamless hotel pick-up, to well-timed stops at all the right spots, we were delighted by this tour.
Our tour guide Sergio did a wonderful job of making us feel welcome and providing history of Helsinki and the life of the citizens in Helsinki. The tour was a small group experience of about 15 people. We were picked up at the hotel by a small van and drove to key sites around town. The van experience finished at the Helsinki Cathedral from there. We walked down to the marketplace to take a boat ride to Suomenlinna island. Sergio guided us around the island providing a history of the fort. At the end, we arrived back at the marketplace to end our tour ended. I walked back to my hotel from the marketplace. It was about a half a mile. That day I put in about 16,000 steps.
This is one experience where you can tell nothing went wrong. Sergio is very caring, knowledgeable, funny, friendly, respectful, punctual and any good qualities you can imagine in a tour guide. He goes above and beyond. We had great time, the group was small and the van was comfortable, thanks also to the professional drive.
Excellent tour, driver and guide knowledgeable and fun, helpful, unexpected end to tour with cab ride back to hotel
Guide was new and had little to no knowledge of the city or attractions. Learned little.
It was very nice to travel in a van with a small number of people. Sergio and Jamie were wonderful guides who gave us lots of interesting information about Helsinki and Finland in general. The ferry ride was pleasant and Suomenlinna was interesting to visit. We did have some rain during the day, but that’s unavoidable.
I had a fantastic time on the tour. Jaime was an awesome guide—super friendly, energetic, and genuinely excited to share Helsinki with us. His energy level kept the tour fun and engaging from start to finish, and he made everyone feel comfortable and welcome. Jaime was also very knowledgeable and did a great job mixing the history and highlights with a relaxed, personable vibe. The ferry ride to Suomenlinna was a great addition, and the whole experience was a perfect way to see the city and learn more about Finland. Highly recommend this tour, especially if you get Jaime as your guide!
Enjoyed the tour, the pace and the guide! Sergio was very knowledgeable, interacted well with Al of the guests.
Tour was amazing. The guide was pleasant, helpful, and very knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend for any age group. It required some walking but both our 3 year old and our 64 year old had a great time.
I enjoyed seeing different parts of Hrlsinki. The Oodi library is so fascinating in the architecture. The coastline is great. I really liked seeing the islands. Suomenlinna is wonderful.
