Half Day Tour to the Macocha Abyss and The Punkva Caves

Description
In half a day you will visit the Baroque style church, explore the Punkva caves, and the Macocha abyss, and if time left -sample Czech traditional dishes. The Punkva Caves are one of five big caves in the Moravian Karst near BRNO in the Czech Republic which are open to the public all year round. Part of the tour of the caves is on foot and the second part is in electric boat which makes it unique. When we meet I will provide you with an AUDIO file (via Whats Up) in English describing the guided tour since you will be part of a guided tour in Czech. The tour is safe, lit and therefore there is no need to worry about any difficulty.

Itinerary
Enjoy popular half a day trip to the Punkva Caves and Macocha Abyss, which are about 33 km north east of BRNO. It combines a bit of architecture in a small village Křtiny with a beautiful Baroque church. The village sits on the boundary of the Moravian Karst nature reserve. It's a tiny, tiny village with a HUGE Baroque church. It's actually shocking when you drive into the village and see this gigantic Baroque pilgrimage site, The Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and other buildings that make up this Premonstratensian monastery, positively dominating the landscape. You immediately know why its referred to as the "pearl of Moravia". There is also an ossuary below the church with twelve skulls with the letter "T" painted on them.
Then we visit the Moravian Karst full of caves, visit the Macocha abyss, the Punkva Cave, (OPEN ALL YEAR ROUND) where you will join an hour long guided tour in Czech ( you can download English translation at the entrance to the caves). Make sure you bring warm clothes since the year round temperature is plus 6 C. At the end of the tour there is a nice surprise for you, but I am not telling you. Those who enjoy easy 20 minute walk can walk back to the main parking lot.

Helena was a great host. Very friendly and kind. Knows a lot about the area and was very flexible. I brought my dad to Europe to have surgery so I was travelling by myself while not at the hospital. I really enjoyed having someone to spend time with and tell me about the area.
Thanks for a nice review and wish you both a safe trip back home to Canada and wish your dad a good recovery.
Helen was our tour guide. I can't say enough about how fantastic she was. She was extremely knowledgeable about the area and the caves. She ensured we had all our needs met and questions answered. I would book any tour with Helen again! We had a delightful traditional lunch and she gave us a ride to another place and included history/info continuously as we went. One of my favorite tours of this trip.
Thanks for nice review and wish you a pleasant stay in Prague
Helen was a great guide who provided a wonderful amount of information and was very accommodating. The cave journey was fantastic and surprising. The highlight of our Czech trip.
Thanks for lovely review. Enjoy your rest of stay in the Czech Republic.
Visiting the Punkva Caves and Macocha Abyss near BRNO, the Czech is almost a MUST see place and these caves are open all year round. Dress well since the overall year temperature is plus 6 C. You can book this trip with Helena Svedova from BRNOguide
Thanks
Hela was an amazing host, she is very knowledgeable about Brno and the Czech Republic at large, relaying interesting facts along the entire trip. Talking with her throughout the trip was lovely, and the caves themselves were incredible. She took me to various hidden gems along the way, and I got to see various small, picturesque villages I wouldn’t have ever been able to see if not for her. I would recommend this tour to anyone!
Thanks for a lovely review.
Every part of this tour was fantastic. The trip through the mountains was beautiful and a welcome break from the city. On the way up to the abyss, Helena, the guide through most of the tour, was incredibly nice and told us many interesting details about the area and its history. We also stopped at a really impressive church hidden in a sleepy village and where she let us roam around and take pictures. The abyss and cave were beautiful and the boat ride was a really fun way to explore even more of the cave. This tour was a highlight of our trip to Brno.
Much thanks for a lovely review. I hope you enjoyed the rest of your stay in my country. Helen
The best part of the tour was actually the experience with the guide Helen. She is very personable and knowledgeable of the area. She fitted the tour to my needs and made the whole experience one I will definitely remember. The caves are beautiful and I highly recommend visiting them, but the additional information provided by Helen made the entire tour worth all the time spent. Also her English is impeccable.
Thanks a lot for lovely testimonials, I hope to see you in BRNO some time in the near future.
Excellent trip , the caves are unique and beautiful. You travel through some of them by boat. Great experience The Abyss is breathtaking
