Half-Day Private Guided Sightseeing Tour of La Coruña

Description
We will do a "complete" itinerary of La Coruña, known as the City of Cristal, due to the small glass windows that cover the houses in the waterfront. The visit will cover the old medieval quarters including Santiago's church and the María Pita square, we will then pass by the once defensive castle of San Antón, now turned into an archaeological museum, to continue to the main symbol of the city, the oldest lighthouse in the world still functioning, of Roman origin, the Tower of Hercules. This is a World Heritage Site and can be visited if you're up to it. The tour will continue driving by the ocean and passing by Riazor Beach to continue towards Mount San Pedro from where you will have an excellent viewpoint of the city. From there we'll go to visit Santa Cruz castle, to the return to the centre, passing through the small streets filled with little bars and restaurants, where you will be able to enjoy some local tapas and wine.

Excellent way to share with a local and easily see the sights. Our guide was charming. Perfect amount of timw at the stops. Much better than going on a ship tour.
This was our favorite tour guide out of all of our private tour guides! We hit the highlights and a great restaurant recommendation for lunch! All. Around great experience He spoke perfect English
One thing I don’t like about cruise ship shore excursions is you’re with 80-100 people and spend more time getting on/off the bus, restroom stops, and forced stops at a jewelry or art shop. Minimal time is actually spent at the places you want to see. This definitely wasn’t the case with my private car tour in La Coruna Spain with our fantastic tour guide Carmela! We saw all the major attractions like Hercules Tower, Monte de San Pedro, mountain observatory, and other scenic spots around the peninsula. If we saw a photo opportunity, Carmela eagerly stopped to allow us to hop out and take pics. If we were at a site that wasn’t very exciting, we asked to go elsewhere which she didn’t hesitate to do. Also had a nice vegetarian lunch at a local tapas bar back in town. Great value and would highly recommend!!
We really enjoyed our tour of A Coruña with Juanjo. Our cruise ship arrived late and he was very flexible in dealing with the time change. He offered recommendations but made it very clear that he would customize the tour the way we wanted it. We saw many beautiful sites and had a nice stop at a local restaurant for grilled octopus. I would recommend this tour because of Juanjo, his professionalism and his flexibility.
The tour guide spoke too softly and wasn’t succinct. Our group of 4 was transported into a small car, which was quite cramped. The value wasn’t appropriate for the price that we paid for this tour. On a positive note, the restaurant stop was great, and the city was beautiful.
Sorry about you feeling cramped, for a very short drive. You must understand that Cars in Europe are not as big as in the U.S.. If you had difficulty listening you should tell the guide that you cannot hear him, not wait till the end to make a negative comment. We always try to be as pleasing as we can but sometimes we need the customers to interact with us. sorry about the experience we take good note.
