Half Day Guided Tour at Fes Medina

I benefited from a private guided tour in French even though I had signed up for a group tour. The guide was excellent and very knowledgeable. The tour was slightly longer than expected, and we visited a few artisan cooperatives and some paid museums. All within the Medina of Fes.

Abdul was excellent. The 3-4 hour stroll through the Fes Medina was fascinating and entertaining. His excitement for the culture was contagious.

If you’re visiting Morocco and considering a Medina tour, book Abdul immediately. He made our time in Fes one of the highlights of our trip. Abdul was incredibly kind, welcoming, knowledgeable, and somehow knew everyone everywhere we went. Exploring the Medina with him felt effortless — we always felt safe, never lost, and honestly as close to experiencing Fes like a local as possible. What really stood out was how flexible and thoughtful he was. He shared fascinating historical context while still leaving room for the things we wanted to experience. My little sister, Aminah, is a henna artist and wanted to observe a local henna artist while in Fes, and Abdul made it happen. He also adjusted the pace of the tour throughout the day to accommodate her, which we truly appreciated, given that she wasn’t feeling her best that day. He negotiated great prices for us with vendors, including at the tannery, and made the shopping experience feel comfortable instead of stressful or pushy. More than anything, he made us feel like family. Abdul even helped arrange our taxi to the train station for our trip to Casablanca the next day. We came from Marrakesh by train and are leaving Fes so grateful for the experience. I absolutely hope to return to Fes one day, and when I do, Abdul will be my first call!

Abby is amazing. He is one of the most thoughtful, insightful and interesting people. He has been guiding tours for 50 years and is like an encyclopedia of info.

Incredible tour. A must before trying your hand at navigating the Fes Medina alone. Abdul was like a celebrity in the Medina, everyone knew him we didn’t feel like we were intruding anywhere. We tried foods we would have never tried, and saw parts of Medina life and some artisanal processes that we would never have gotten the chance to see.

Our guide was very knowledgeable. He is from Fes and it shows. He knows everything and every one. He took us to the best place with reasonable prices. He was very helpful even helped solve an issue in the evening with a bad restaurant. 10/10. Really good guide and good person.

I never really leave reviews for things when they work out as expected but I had to leave a review for this company. I booked this tour and on the day of the trip the guide showed up on time to my hotel. After a short greeting my wife became suddenly ill. I informed the guide we will not be able to continue with the tour. I tipped him and told him it was completely our fault and would not try to cancel or get a refund. Later that same afternoon someone from the company called and asked how she was feeling. When I told him she was feeling better he offered to send another guide and complete the tour. A short time later he showed up and we completed the tour. I was so impressed by this action I felt compelled to write this review. This company had no obligation to send another guide and furnish another tour due to the fact they did everything they were supposed to do in the first place. I apologize I don't remember the names of the people we dealt with, it was a hectic trip. The tour was excellent and well worth the money. I believe the second man who called and then came back and conducted the tour was the owner or manager, but I'm not 100% sure and don't want to be mistaken. I can't recommend this company enough.

Our guide, Abdul, is very attentive and caring to my mom who is not very good at walking long distances or steep stairs. He adjusted the pace of the trip yet still able to finish all the sightseeing spots as promised. Enjoy the mint tea time so much! Thanks again for the great time.

I was alone with Abbi on 2 half days in Fez.We had a lot of fun and it is a class,sensitive guide who totally responds to his customers and who brought me closer to the beauty of the city.Even as a woman I could totally confide in him, punctual, reliable and I am going back as a girlfriend.I can highly recommend this guide.Thanks for the wonderful time 🫶
