Ha Giang Loop 3 days and 2 nights Motorbike Tour with Easy rider

4.9(136)Ha Giang1 hour

Description

The minimum time to give the Northern Ha Giang Loop any justness is three days. We call it jokingly ‘hurry, hurry’ to try to indicate that it would be three quite long days of motorcycling. It would be no possibilities for add-on activities like trekking and limits to time visiting the many attractions that the loop has to offer. The tour would still ensure the completion of the full loop with inclusion of Heaven’s Gate, the Highland of Stone, Dong Van, the Ma Pi Leng mountain pass and the backroads of the spectacular inner Ha Giang mountains. There will be no time for lazy sleep-in mornings, and we will be out on the road at 8 am each of the days. Possibility to self-drive or to ride pillion (behind guide/driver). If self-driving, we recommend sound prior motorcycling experience Accommodation will be one night in ethnic minority homestay and one night in hotel (choice of doing both nights in homestay)

Amazing bike journey for a not so young couple

My husband and I had a fabulous private trip with Duong (guide) & Bui Amh they were safe drivers and very considerate. Duong was clever with avoiding all the crowds at viewing spots and eating places. Lovely people and great food. Accommodation was comfortable clean and basic ensuites. Highly recommend. Just Do it !

Riding through the Clouds in Ha Giang ❤️

Ha Giang was more than a trip — it was an experience I’ll never forget. ⛰️✨ The breathtaking mountain views, winding roads, peaceful villages, and kind locals made every moment magical. Riding through the clouds felt unreal. If you love adventure, nature, and freedom, Ha Giang is truly a must-visit place in Vietnam. ❤️Special Thank to our amazing Guide (Sam & Neo) who made the Ha Giang journey even more unforgettable. 🙌🏍️ Thank you for guiding us safely, making us laugh, showing us hidden beautiful spots, and taking care of us throughout the trip. We couldn’t have asked for a better companion for this adventure. 💚✨

Awesome experience

I did the 3D/2N tour with QT / Buffalo, and it was a great experience. The landscapes are incredible all along the way. It was a large group of about 30 people (mainly 18-30 years old), divided into smaller groups of 6–8 people for riding. You met others groups for lunch and at homestay. The guides were very attentive and watchful. There were regular breaks; you never rode for more than 40 minutes at a time. You spend the nights in two different new homestays, with large shared bedrooms (about 20 people). The mattresses are comfortable, with pillows, blankets and towels provided. The meals are great and generous. The evenings were quite festive, but not excessive. The only downside concerns the visits: there is a lack of information about the sites. For example, there was no explanation about the palace, and no information in English inside. Everything is included except the drinks (1,5 L bottle of water provided each day). Drinks are cheap in homestays

Bloody Brilliant!

The clients are allocated to small groups (mine was eight). Six of us went Easy Rider. The others were all young and they made this oldie welcome. The bikes are Honda Blade 110, just enough grunt to tackle the hills. The foot pegs are at a convenient level for 162 cm me; tall riders may experience discomfort. The roads are good, two lane asphalt, except for the access road to Talung Ecolodge for the second night. This is narrow, rough and rocky, with some stretches of concrete, one of the worst roads I have ever travelled. Talung is high on a hillside and it can get cold - bring a light jacket. But the showers are hot and the bed quilt warm. And dinner is hotpot. The meals on the trip are all tasty, varied and filling. The first day is quite leisurely: ride to Hlup Homestay for lunch, make an excursion to Lung Khuy cave which has some remarkable formations, then return to Hlup for dinner and overnight stay. The second day is the highlight: one mountain pass after another reached by a string of hairpin bends, a visit to the Hmong king's palace, a boat trip through a deep dramatic gorge, and then to Ma Pi Leng pass. Park the bikes at the pass and walk 2 km up an easy track to a tower of limestone rocks. It's a scramble up there to the "Rock of Death" and walk/crawl out on this protruding tongue of rock. The last day is anticlimax, an easy ride back to Ha Giang. The pace is brisk but not rushed. When I felt like we were flying, the speedo read only 60 km/h. There are regular rest stops, usually at a viewpoint with a drink stand, to relieve the strain of sitting on the bike. It would be an exhilarating ride to do oneself, but these roads demand constant attention. Going Easy Rider you can watch the scenery and let your Rider watch the road. A special callout for my Rider Dua who took extra care to look after me, and tour leader Panda who marshalled us efficiently. One word of caution. At dinner time they pour shots of a clear hard liquor from jugs and encourage us to knock them back. Have the Laos backpacker methanol poisonings been forgotten?
