This tour was great value for money. It included the Easy Rider, fuel, meals, accommodation, entrance fees, and guide, so we did not have to worry about many extra costs. The route was beautiful, the team was friendly, and the homestays were a nice local experience. No hidden surprises - everything was clear.
Huge shoutout to Duc and the Ali Travel team. They were careful, friendly, and very professional during the whole trip. Our Easy Riders drove safely and always checked that we were comfortable. The route was beautiful and well planned. Ask for them if you can-they made the experience even better.
James, thank you — this one made the whole team's day. Our Easy Riders are asked to check in with their guest at every stop rather than just ride, so it means a lot that you felt it. Dong Van and Ma Pi Leng deserve a route that gives you time to look around instead of racing the clock, and that's exactly how the 3-day is planned. If your friends book with us, mention this review and we'll do our best to put the same crew with them. — Duc & the Ali Travel team
We stayed at Ali Hostel before the tour, and it made the start very convenient. The team helped us with the briefing, luggage storage, and preparation for the loop. The dorm was simple but clean, and the staff were friendly. It was easy to meet the guide and other travelers before departure. Good base for starting the Ha Giang Loop.
Thank you, Tonanh. A smooth start matters more than people expect — bikes checked, luggage stored and the safety briefing done before anyone rides out, so the first morning is not a scramble. Running our own hostel in Ha Giang is what lets us control that first hour instead of hoping it goes well. You are welcome to leave your big bag with us any time you pass back through. If you love photography, this tour is a great choice. The route has so many beautiful stops: Quan Ba Heaven Gate, Du Gia, Ma Pi Peng Pass, and the viewpoints over Nho Que River. Our guide knew where to stop for good light and views. I came back with some of my favorite photos from Vietnam
Thank you for this, John. Calling it a photography trip is exactly how we like the loop to be ridden — our Easy Riders know which pull-offs along Ma Pi Leng catch the light before the tour buses arrive, and they will always stop when you ask. Three days is a tight window for that pass, so we are glad you came away with the frames you wanted. If you ever come back between late October and December, the buckwheat fields are in bloom and it is a completely different set of pictures. Duc & the Ali Travel team
We did the 3-day Ha Giang Loop with Ali Travel and loved the viewpoint over the Nho Que River and Tu San Canyon. The color of the river and the mountain views were incredible. The tour did not include the boat trip, but the viewpoints were still amazing. The team honest, helpful, and well organized.
Thank you — and thank you especially for the word "honest". That one matters to us more than the compliments about the view. You are right that the 3-day route meets Tu San from the pass rather than from the water. We would much rather say that clearly before you book than surprise you on the day, and it sounds like your guide did exactly that. The colour of the river shifts with the season and the light, so no two groups ever see quite the same canyon. If you ever come back, the Nho Que boat cruise is included on our Comfort jeep tours — we would love to show you Tu San from below. Duc & the Ali Travel team
We preferred to do the Ha Giang Loop by car instead of motorbike, and Ali Travel arranged everything smoothly. The car was comfortable, and our driver drove carefully on the mountain roads. We still got to enjoy the amazing viewpoints, local villages, and mountain scenery without feeling rushed. A good option for travelers who want comfort but still want to experience Ha Giang.
Thank you for taking the time to write this — and for pointing out something many travellers do not realise. You do not have to ride a motorbike to do the Ha Giang Loop. We run the same route by car for guests who want the views with more comfort, and our drivers know these mountain roads well enough to take them calmly. We are glad you never felt rushed — that is exactly the pace the car option is built for. If you are ever back in northern Vietnam, we would love to show you more of it. Duc & the Ali Travel team
We traveled with [number] kids and Ali Travel adjusted the pace so the trip was comfortable for everyone. The drivers were careful, the stops were well planned, and the team made sure the children were safe and happy. The landscapes were beautiful, and the homestay experience was memorable for the whole family. A very well-organized tour.
Thank you so much — family trips are the ones we prepare hardest for. Slowing the pace, choosing the right stops and keeping the children comfortable is something we plan for every family booking, so it is wonderful to hear it worked for yours. Please know we will pass this on to your drivers in particular: riding carefully with kids on board is what we ask of them above everything else. And we are really glad the homestay night stayed with the whole family — sharing that is the part of the job we love most. You are welcome back any time. The kids may be ready for the 4-day loop next! Duc & the Ali Travel team
Ali Travel took care of every detail, making the entire trip smooth and stress-free. From the transportation to the daily schedule, everything was well planned. The scenery was simply incredible, with endless mountain views, local villages, and beautiful roads. The guides and staff were friendly, helpful, and always made sure everyone was enjoying the experience.
Thank you, Barbara — this is exactly what we hope every guest feels. "Smooth and stress-free" is the whole reason we plan the transport and the daily schedule so tightly: the roads up here deserve your full attention, not your worry. And thank you for the kind words about our guides and staff — they are all local people from these mountains, and hearing that they made you feel looked after means a lot to them. Come back and ride the loop with us again any time, and please send your friends our way. Duc & the Ali Travel team
We booked the 3-day Ha Giang Loop as a group of friends, and it turned out to be the perfect adventure. The organization was excellent from start to finish, and the staff were friendly, patient, and always available to help. The route offered spectacular mountain views, beautiful winding roads, and authentic cultural experiences. We especially enjoyed the relaxed evenings at the homestays, where everyone could unwind after an exciting day on the road.
Thank you so much, Ernest! Reading that your group of friends found the whole trip "the perfect adventure" made our day. We're really glad the team's patience and the smooth organization stood out — that's exactly what we train hard for, so you could just focus on Ma Pi Leng's winding roads and the views. And yes, those relaxed homestay evenings after a full day of riding are our favorite part of the Loop too. We'd love to welcome you and your friends back — northern Vietnam has a few more roads worth exploring. Safe travels! Duc & the Ali Travel team
It was the best experience of my life; my friends think the same, the service was great, the guide Tond was very kind, introducing us to traditional Vietnam, its cultures, foods, and postcard landscapes. We are very happy with the experience.
