There is a lighthouse at the top of the hill (18 meters high), a chapel and the Naval Museum, a place where guns and other artifacts are kept that were used in the days when the city was besieged by pirates. The most important attraction in this area is the complete view we have of the city.

Cultural and history walking tour. Nice snapshot of the city and got in a little exercise completing the 444 steps at the lighthouse. Tony, my guide was fantastic and so professional. So much information was given to me, and it was great. Thank you Antonio, was a sensational tour. Recommend

Wonderful tour of the city. I would recommend this to everyone interested in getting to know Guayaquil

The park with the iguanas and beautiful church was wonderful. Just having the opportunity to drive around the city and see the various neighborhoods was a great experience. I enjoyed the Panama Hat factory. Never realized the amount of work that goes into making an authentic Panama Hat.

No show! Forgot about our tour

Do NOT book with them! No one showed up. Waited 30 mins and tried calling several numbers until we finally reached the agency. They told us they forgot about our tour! TripAdvisor displayed it as confirmed. They offered the tour later that day or the next day which was not possible for us. Refund was promised.

Operator response

Hello Julia, We understand the inconvenience caused by waiting for the service and we are sorry that this has not met your expectations, we had a problem with our reservation system and when we consulted the option to make the tour in the afternoon you told us that you had your flight so it could not be done. Our commitment with the tourists is always to give them the best possible experience, that is the reason for the good qualification of the tours, we are sorry for the inconvenience and of course, we will proceed with the full refund. We have already solved the problem and again we apologize. Hope you have a good trip

Disappointed

We missed this tour. We were travelling from Montanita to Guayaquil on 4/6/22. I must had accidently booked the wrong day, 4/6/22 instead of 4/7/22. However, I did not received any notification from BM tour guide about when the tour guide will pick us up nor notification about the tour guide had arrived at the hotel waiting for us on 4/6/22. I didn't notice I booked the wrong date until I contacted them on 4/6/22 after I checked in to the hotel. I was informed that they counted we were "NO SHOW" for the tour guide was there. I requested if they can do us a big favor and reschedule it on 4/7/22 as we will be leaving Ecuador on 4/8/22 and would love to see the city of Guayaquil. The respond from BM Tours was the same and asked us to rebook the tour. We booked so many tours through Viator since we were travelling on March to Costa Rica, Panama and Ecuador. I am quite disappointed on BM Tour's response.

Saludos, Alejandro CEO

Good Challenge

You can not go through Guayaquil without visiting the Las Peñas neighborhood, climbing Santa Ana Hill and enjoying the panoramic view from the heights of the Lighthouse. The Barrio Las Peñas has been transformed by the municipality into one of the main tourist attractions of the city of Guayaquil. Originally a dangerous and marginal sector, the inhabitants of this place, have transformed it into a warm place, full of surprising corners, and that cannot be missed. At its summit, there is a small church and a lighthouse. If you climb the lighthouse, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the entire city of Guayaquil from the surrounding terrace, as well as enjoying the cooling breeze that normally exists. Getting there is difficult, as you have to climb the more than 400 steps, with heat and humidity difficult to bear for those of us who are not used to tropical weather. But it's worth 100%.
