Very full day. Breakfast...

Very full day. Breakfast and lunch included are great because you defineitly don’t have time without. Long drive to start with no stops. Traffic can affect timing big time. Not the tour I expected. The town of Guatape is cute, very touristy. The rock its self is neat but not for as long as you are there- especially if you don’t climb up the 700+ steps. Gives vibes of Clifton hill in the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. The boat tour is informative but also includes a lot of loud music. Meeting the animals is not at all like what is described. It’s a massive two restaurant plaza with stores all around and the animals following you aggressively for food (if you purchase some to give to the animals). This stop is also the last bathroom stop and the bathroom can be hard to find (it’s beside the back restaurent past the animal feeding section). Our guide was fine- gave information in both Spanish and English. Sebastian (the coordinator) is fantastic and provides lots of good info up front. My main suggestion is to really think about if a full Guatape day is for you. If yes, book this tour.

A great day

The tour guide was great and very friendly. Breakfast in the morning was good and so was lunch in the afternoon. The drive was comfortable. I did go to the top at el peñol but honestly the view from halfway was pretty decent so I don’t think I would do that again. I would probably just hang out and take some pictures and grab a snack instead. Overall everything was great but be prepared to walk a lot!!

Great value, but English translation could be improved

Overall, this was a good tour and definitely worth the money. It’s a long day with a lot packed into the itinerary, but you get to see and experience quite a bit, so I would still recommend it. We started the tour with Sebastian, who was great and communicated well in English. However, after his introduction, the English-speaking travelers were assigned to another translator for the remainder of the tour. Unfortunately, the translation was not very effective, and several of us had difficulty following the information being shared. At times, I felt as though I was exploring on my own rather than being fully included in the guided experience. Despite that, I enjoyed the locations we visited and felt the tour offered good value for money. Improving the English translation throughout the entire tour would make the experience much better for English-speaking travelers.

Vale la pena!

Seamless excursion to Guatape, including two meals and 5 points of interest. Sebastian and Alejandra are hospitable bilingual guides. They know how to keep everything on track and keep everyone in the group in a good mood. But maybe they got lucky with us, too. It turns out we were a friendly group of strangers as well.

A Good Day

It was a great tour beginning with breakfast. Sebastian and Alejandra gave clear instructions about the day and Ale and our driver John kept us on schedule. There were a few stops and just enough time for each one. The longest stop was at La Piedra but they had to allow enough time for those that wanted to climb the Rock. Although they told us it would cost 35K pesos in cash, they also take credit cards. The lunch was filling and the boat tour was refreshing at the end of a long day. John drove the bus like sports car and got us back to Medellín by 5 PM. It was a good day.

A beautiful day with great impressions

The tour was very good and delivers everything it promises. The organization and the guides are very good and also very nice. This is a very touristy tour, that should be clear to anyone who books it. However, Sebastian really points this out multiple times beforehand, so it should not be a surprise. Knowing a little Spanish will help, even on the English tour. I really enjoyed getting out of the city and seeing many beautiful places in the countryside. I do not have much time available here on site, and therefore I was able to gather many impressions so quickly. Thanks to all of you for the beautiful day!
