So many unknown things about Poland

Michael was an exceptional guide who provided us with personalized attention and made us feel very welcome. His knowledge of history and culture was outstanding and incredibly interesting. Our walking tour showed us many sides of Gdansk. The short organ concert at Oliwa Cathedral is not to be missed. I highly recommend this tour.

Comprehensive tour. A...

Comprehensive tour. A good bit of walking. No listening devices were used, which was a drawback. Would have been better if we'd had a chance to spend some time in Sopot.

Operator response

Dear Elaine, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad to hear that you found the tour comprehensive. We’d like to clarify that this is a combined bus-and-walking tour. The bus is used for the longer distances between the different sights, while walking is required in areas where vehicles are not permitted due to local regulations. This allows our guests to explore these historic areas on foot while keeping the tour practical within the time available. We currently do not use listening devices on this particular tour, and we appreciate your feedback on this aspect of the experience. We also understand that you would have enjoyed spending some time in Sopot. As the shared tour follows a set itinerary and schedule around the cruise ship’s arrival and departure times, adding additional stops is unfortunately not always possible. For guests with specific itinerary preferences, we recommend considering a private tour, where the experience can be tailored to their interests and available time. Thank you again for joining us and for sharing your feedback. We hope to welcome you again in the future! Warm regards, Natalia Vexperio

No earphones..hard to hear guide.

Very hard to hear the guide...no earphones. If you were in the front it was ok but with 29 people not the best.

Operator response

Dear Kamila, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that it was difficult to hear the guide during parts of the tour, especially with a larger group. As this is a shared group tour, we understand that hearing the guide clearly can be more challenging when the group is spread out. We currently do not use listening devices on this particular tour, and we appreciate your feedback as it helps us consider how we can improve the experience for our guests. We hope that, despite this, you enjoyed discovering Gdańsk and Oliwa with us and found the tour informative. Thank you again for joining us and for sharing your experience. Warm regards, Natalia

Guided tour of Gdansk from Seaport of Gdynia

The visit to the city center Gdansk was well worth it. Our tour guide named Becta (sorry if I misspelled her name) was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and Poland in general. We were picked up at the Seaport in a comfortable bus, where most of large cruise ships dock. And driven about 30 minutes to Gdansk. It was on a Sunday morning and the town was crowded with tourists but our guide navigated it well. Be prepared to walk around 9k steps, mostly flat but uneven cobblestone streets. Our only problem/ complaint is that the tour operator Vexperio should have provided us with listening devices to listen to our guide as we walked.

Operator response

Dear Luis, Thank you very much for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We’ll be sure to pass your kind words on to her! Regarding the walking, Gdańsk’s historic Old Town is a pedestrian area, and vehicles are not permitted on many of its historic streets. This means that the city center can only be properly explored on foot. The cobblestone streets are also an important part of Gdańsk’s historic character, reflecting the traditional appearance of the centuries-old city center. As for the listening devices, we understand your point. This is a combined bus-and-walking tour: the coach takes guests between the main areas, while the historic center itself needs to be explored on foot. With a larger group, we appreciate that it can sometimes be difficult to hear the guide clearly. At present, we do not use listening devices on this particular shared tour, but we appreciate you highlighting this as an area where the experience could potentially be improved. Thank you again for choosing Vexperio and for your constructive feedback. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you on another tour in the future! Warm regards, Natalia Vexperio

We really got our money's worth and more

From the moment we were picked up until we were delivered back to the cruise ship Michael was a non-ending source of knowledge, inspiration, insights and, even some wit. This is such a beautiful country and we learn so much on the tour. There was plenty of walking but not too much.

The guide was very courteous and helpful. I was disappointed that we did not have enough time in old town. I think there should be less time at the Oliva church

Operator response

Dear Daniel, Thank you very much for your kind feedback about the guide. We also appreciate your comments regarding the time allocation during the tour. Group shore excursions are designed to include several highlights within a limited timeframe, which sometimes means that time in each stop must be carefully balanced. For guests who would prefer to spend more time in Gdańsk Old Town and less time at other sites such as Oliwa Cathedral, a private tour can be a great option, as it allows for a more flexible itinerary tailored to personal interests and pace. Thank you again for sharing your experience — your feedback is truly appreciated. Kind regards, Natalia Vexperio

Brilliant commentary and itinerary.

This was a brilliant tour led by Chris. Thought about order and busy places. Constant relevant commentary in great English. Organised, especially when silly people got lost. Extra care and inclusion of park visit and organ recital (fabulous 30 mins). A real treip highlight for us. Thankyou.
