Itinerary
You'll spend the majority of your journey travelling along this spectacular coastal route, taking in amazing panoramas & sweeping ocean views. We'll reach the 12 Apostles in time to enjoy the sunsetting over the ocean!
On reaching the coast, take a quick break in the idyllic seaside town of Anglesea. Stretch your legs alongside the picturesque Angelsea River before continuing your journey along the Great Ocean Road.
Stop for an opportunity to take a happy snap & perhaps make a quick visit to the beach at the historic Great Ocean Road Memorial Arch.
During the summer months, our lunch stop (own expense) is in the town of Lorne, one of the Great Ocean Road's premier beachside towns.
Please note that we will not be visiting Kennett River from 20 July to 20 September 2026 due to its temporary closure. During this period, we will visit an alternative location for koala spotting. Set alongside the Great Otway National Park, the eucalyptus forest surrounding Kennett River is home to a colony of native koalas. Our guide will assist you in some koala spotting. Keep in mind that they are wild animals and shouldn't be disturbed in any way. During the winter months, we will stop here for out lunch break (own expense).
Explore numerous spectacular coastal lookouts and learn the history of the Loch Ard which was wrecked here in 1878 with the loss of 52 lives. View rock formations including the Razorback, the recently collapsed Island Archway, the Dumpling Pots and Muttonbird Island.
See the world famous 12 Apostles during a stunning sunset - a must see!

Pickup Locations & Times
Pickup is only available from the list of hotels provided upon checkout. Your pickup will be between 9am-10am (non-daylight savings, AEST) & 10am-11am (daylight savings, AEDT) depending on which hotel you selected. Your exact meeting time will be provided after a booking is placed. This tour returns to Melbourne at approximately 9pm-12am depending on the season.

An absolute 10 out of 10 experience. The tour was perfectly organized and incredibly smooth from start to finish. We lucked out with beautiful, partly clear skies, which made the views along the coast even more stunning. Seeing the Twelve Apostles under that gorgeous afternoon light was a true highlight, and descending into Loch Ard Gorge was absolutely breathtaking.Our guide, Jaimes, was incredibly kind and attentive. He even spoke Spanish with us individually to practice, which made us feel exceptionally welcome. It is a long journey, so you definitely need to be prepared for the length of the road trip to avoid any surprises, but it is completely worth it. I also highly appreciated that the itinerary gave us the freedom to choose our lunch and dinner stops from a great variety of local restaurants or supermarkets—very convenient and well thought out. We even managed to spot a wild koala up in the trees! Highly recommended!

We had the best time in the Great Ocean Road with our warmest guide, Jai, who’s the friendliest, kindest and the most hospitable. As someone new to Melbourne as a student, Jai made me a list of his favorite restaurants in Melbourne so that I could give them a try. We also learned so many anecdotes and knowledge along the way which made the day trip even enjoyable. Much recommended!

We travelled as a group of 6 people. Our Driver/Guide Mr. Robbo was very knowledgable guy. It was a wonderful tour with great views and stops to capture natural beauty. Only drawback was that it was expensive if you compare it with other available similar tours.

Firstly, I would thank the family who cancelled last minute (your loss.) We had an incredible day with our tour guide, Ben. We got an in depth tour of the Great Ocean Road and both agreed of all the tours we have been on it was the best by a mile. We were genuinely sad when it was over! Ben was friendly, engaging, and informative, giving us good recommendations for other places to see and visit whilst in Melbourne. Our whole experience from early morning pick up at our apartment till we got dropped off at the end of the day, was totally outstanding!
