Good

Our guide was punctual, really nice, informative and we appreciated being shown the main points of interest rather than trying to figure it all out ourselves. The driving was also safe. My only criticism was it was much more expensive than doing it independently or than some of the combined tours with the pyramids (which we had already seen the day before). I thought this was because we would be taken for a restaurant lunch afterwards, but this turned out to be a falafel sandwich in the back of the car whilst being driven back to the hotel. I wasn't impressed with that.

Operator response

Thank you for your review and for your kind comments about the guide. That said, we need to clarify a few important points. All the details you mentioned : pricing, itinerary, and inclusions, were clearly stated before booking. This is why we always encourage guests to carefully read the full tour description to avoid misunderstandings. Regarding the price, it was visible upfront before you confirmed your booking. If it did not meet your expectations, there were many other options available. It’s also important to note that museum tours are naturally more expensive than others, simply because the museum entrance ticket alone costs significantly more than many other sites. So describing the tour as “expensive” after booking and completing it is not entirely fair, especially when all costs were transparent from the beginning. As for the lunch, the included meal is clearly specified in the description (koshary, falafel, or shawarma). This is not something that was decided on the spot; it is clearly written in advance so guests know exactly what to expect. We value all feedback, but it’s important that it reflects the actual service provided, not expectations that were never part of the tour.

The New Grand Egyptian Museum a must see when visiting egypt

Abdu was an amazing tour guide. He was very helpful during the pick up and drop off to the museum. He had an answer to everything, very good at explaining the different periods of ancient egypt, the new museum is really cool and a beautiful building. The Koshary at the end was a lovely way to finish the day. Thanks Abdu!

Great tour with Ayat!

Perfect trip, I only wanted to visit GEM with transport provided, Ayat who was my guide was excellent - she helped me with pictures and talked about Egyptian history in a simple way just like storytelling which fits my taste! Ayat also allowed me enough free time to explore the museum on my own which again what I hoped for before going onto this tour! She brought me to a local koshary restaurant which was perfect and the food is fantastic! 10 star

Great time with Abdu, Nassar, and the GEM!

Like most museums, more than you can see in one visit. Everything is displayed well and you can get close to everything. Abdu the guide was very knowledgeable and was fun to spend time with. Nassar the driver navigated the tricky traffic like a pro, and had a few funny comments to share. The meal and the restaurant Abdu selected for us were wonderful.
