The walk was just over 3km and took in some interesting streets and sights. The city is stunning. Our guide was very knowledgeable, but he spoke almost exclusively about history, including 30 minutes at the beginning just sitting inside the cathedral listening to him, which was rather dull. I would have liked more variety in content, for example, about architecture and modern culture. There are some good leaflets from the tourist information with self-guided walking trails, so if you are not a big history buff, maybe do that instead. Also, there is no benefit to booking the boat add-on as the price difference is the same as the cost of paying separately anyway and you then get flexibility to do it when you want. The boat trip is also included in the 48/72 hr Citipass which is excellent value.
Fantastic walk through the "Old" Ghent with its great buildings. This was complemented by a beautiful and informative canal tour. Super nice guide with great information and special tips.
Was worth doing with guide, friendly guest, his english was not always clear but all in all he did well
