Great multigenerational museum. Wonderful photographic and physical att displays. Educational and interesting historical artifacts of the areas past. Railroad history and great interactive children’s areas. This museum in this beautifully old restored hotel was a perfect visit with our 8&9 yo Grands. Then directly across the street was the old historic train station and The Storybook Park with fun Dr. Suess characters. 👍🏻♥️♥️
We're so glad you enjoyed your recent visit to The Grace Museum! Thanks for the great review. We hope you'll come see us again sometime.
a great local museum with plenty to see and even a floor for the kiddos,, im not a big art fan but i found a few that drew in my attention, the floor for the kiddos looked really interesting,,, the best floor was floor 3 where they had it set up for multiple rooms that were decorated in the different eras
The third floor covered history of the area and the first and second floors were art related. There was an area for kids as well. The displays were very well done and are housed in a grand old building. It took us just over an hour to view and maybe a bit longer if you like to read all display plaques.
Thanks so much for visiting The Grace Museum! We're very glad you enjoyed your time here and hope you'll come back to see us again.
We enjoyed the Grace and in particular the upstairs historical area with reproductions of rooms from various time periods of the 1920s forward and a very interesting display of women’s clothing through the past 100 years as well as a smaller room with lots of memorabilia from the history of Abilene. The downstairs is a beautiful art museum with rotating exhibits. Overall, a lovely space and very quiet during our visit.
Thanks for visiting The Grace! We appreciate you taking the time to explore the museum and are glad you enjoyed your experience here. We hope you'll come back to see us again!
The Grace Museum is located in downtown Abilene in a wonderfully restored historic hotel. Some exhibits constantly change, except for a permanent one showing lifestyles of days gone by. The interactive children’s museum on the second floor is popular with the young ones. There is a gorgeous ballroom that can be leased for special events as well as a beautiful courtyard for warm weather ones.
