Description
From Bilbao we will go to San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, where we will have free time to go up to the top if we want. Going up its 241 stairs we will feel like we are ascending to one of the most important fortresses in the series Game of Thrones: Dragonstone. We will then visit the town of Bermeo, a fishing village with a deep-rooted seafaring tradition. Before finishing our excursion, we will head towards Gernika, the Basque town that gives its name to the famous painting by Pablo Picasso, where we will visit the gardens of the “Gernika Assembly Hall”

Spectacular!!
Magnificent excursion and the guide Patxi was extraordinary. The visit to San Juan de Gaztelugatxe was worth it. Simply spectacular!!! Absolutely recommended.

Recommeded, but take something to eat and be prepared to walk a lot
Great places to visit, definely worth going - but tough and too little time. 30 min more for walking in the first place an another 30 min in the second place in order to have something to eat and go to the restroom. You really should say in the tour description how many km there is to walk, the “241 steps” is misleading…and the elevation… and also to note people to have something to eat for the trip because the 6 h we had did not give any possibility to crab anything.

The guide was going super fast...
The guide was going super fast without waiting for the people in the group when giving their explanations... and rushing us when going up and down the walking sections, I would not repeat at least with the same person.

The tour was good for...
The tour was good for 6hrs and 60 euros each. The only problem we found is that the visits seemed rushed. I would rather have missed Bormeo and spent more time in Guernica to explore the museum and its rich history but instead a very poor tour of the town and back on the bus. It’s good if you just want to see dragonstone. And the Spanish guide was amazing but our English guide wasn’t great, so a lot depends on the guide you get.

Very good
The activity was very good; we visited the main places within the established excursion time. The hike to Gaztelugatxe with the 200 steps, I think, is not suitable for people in very poor physical shape or with mobility problems, just to add. Happily, everything was great!

Great experience
It was a really great experience. The hike done in the morning to the castle with the 241 steps climbed and the landscape seen from the top, is amazing. The information received from the guide and the atmosphere extraordinary. Bermeo, also the old fishing village, is worth visiting for the diversity of colors of the buildings. I highly recommend this experience.
