Full-Day Tour of Giza, Saqqara & Memphis –Ancient Egypt Discovery

George was fantastic! His 25 years of tour guiding really shows in his great timing of when to explain and when to let people walk around by themselves. He is so knowledgeable and answered all of our questions while also giving us interesting details and insights into the ruins and history!

George was our incredible guide as we explored Saqqara and Dahshur—just a short drive from Cairo. Run to these sites! They are far less crowded than Giza, and you can actually go inside the pyramids without the heavy crowds. These hidden gems are truly a must-see. George is deeply knowledgeable about both ancient and modern Egypt. He even studied under Dr. Zahi Hawass, the world-renowned archaeologist and Egyptologist. His ability to connect with children (our kids are 10 and 11) and adults alike is remarkable—he simplifies complex history, uses analogies for young learners, and always keeps the experience engaging. As a parent himself, George has a gift for reading the room when kids need a change of pace, while still keeping adults immersed. Over the course of 5 days, we toured Cairo, Giza, Fayoum, Dahshur, and Saqqara with George, and it felt like we were exploring with an old family friend proudly sharing his city and history. He is flexible, able to adjust itineraries on the spot, and there was rarely a question he could not answer—and if he didn’t know, he made sure to find out. Our time with George made Egypt unforgettable, and when we return to Cairo, we will only tour with him!

Amazing experience! Our guide, George, was the kindness, most thoughtful person ever. He was very knowledgeable about Egyptian history and offered many insightful facts about the places we visited. Our time in Egypt would not have been the same without his guidance. I also have to give shutout to our driver (also named George) who did an amazing job!

We couldn’t have asked for a better tour. Both George our guide, and George our driver were amazing. George answered all the questions we had and was so knowledgeable about everything. He knew all the best photo spots and always gave us time to take pictures! He really helped us make the most of our visit to the pyramids.

This is such a great tour. You get to experience the history and the magnificence of the Pyramids at Giza as well as a camel ride and a guide led tour. Our tour guide was George and he is the very best when it comes to the history of Egypt and the pyramids. He is knowledgeable, so he can answer any questions that you have and he also makes the information fun and easy to understand. We got to go inside the great pyramid and say a prayer at the ancient sarcophagus and we also got to see the sphinx and imagine what it must’ve been like to be a real Egyptian, many thousands of years ago. We also visited the Step Pyramid at Saqqara (which is the oldest of the Pyramids). This tour and opportunity is world class and it’s one you can’t miss. Please take this tour and when you set it up ask for George.

Great tour, George is a knowledgeable Egyptologist and taught us all about the sites we visited and the tour went very smoothly, the car and driver kept us out of the worst of the June heat and maximized our time at the historical sites. We are booked with him next weekend as well.

If I could give them 10 stars I would! George and George were the best! George O. is an amazing Egyptologist and one of the smartest people I’ve met and George A. is an awesome photographer and one of the best drivers in Egypt 🤩 they have made one of my dreams come true- seeing the pyramids and riding a camel were such a great experience- I will never forget it!!!

This was an excellent tour, led by someone who has an obvious passion for Egyptian history, archeology, and teaching. George (the guide) walked us through the sites with information about each place told in a clear and memorable way. He had answers to all of our questions and a huge amount of knowledge to pass on about everything we saw. We had one day for the pyramids of Gisa and Sakkara, and a second for Coptic Cairo and the Museum of Egyptian civilization. Each day was tailored to our preferences and they were flexible with lunches and anything additinal we wanted to do. All transportation was provided from the city and back and really was a wonderful and stress free way to see some major sites. Shout out to George (driver/photographer and different George than our guide) for some great and funny shots of us at the Pyramids, we are not influencers so needed a lot of guidance. We have passed on their info to others coming to Cairo and would absolutely book with George(s) again!
