Itinerary

20 min

Tanuki Lake offers a quieter, more peaceful atmosphere compared to the more touristy Fuji Five Lakes. From the lakeside, you can enjoy a stunning head-on view of Mt. Fuji, and on calm mornings or evenings, you may even catch the beautiful reflection of the mountain on the water—known as the “upside-down Fuji.” Surrounded by nature, it’s a perfect hidden gem for those who want to relax and enjoy Mt. Fuji in a more serene and uncrowded setting.

60 min

Shiraito Falls: A large-scale waterfall cascading down a width of approximately 200 meters. The sight of the water flowing like white silk is breathtaking, offering a chance to feel the grandeur of nature while enjoying the abundance of negative ions. Walking paths are available in the surrounding area. Entrance Fee: Free

30 min

At the foot of Mt. Fuji, this sake shop offers a chance to sample a variety of local Shizuoka sake made with the region’s pure water and fresh fruits. From refreshing fruit-infused sake to traditional Japanese brews, you can taste and purchase your favorite bottle on site. Enjoy a unique experience and savor a special drink that captures the essence of Mt. Fuji’s bounty.

30 min

Explanation of Fujinomiya Omiya Yokocho “Fujinomiya Omiya Yokocho” is a lively food alley where you can easily enjoy the local flavors of Fujinomiya City. The highlight is the famous local specialty Fujinomiya Yakisoba, a unique stir-fried noodle dish made with locally produced noodles and dried sardine powder. In addition to yakisoba, you can also find regional sweets, light meals, and even craft beer, making it the perfect spot for tasting a variety of local delicacies while strolling around. Stopping by here during the tour allows you to experience Fujinomiya’s food culture in a short amount of time.

30 min

You’ll visit Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha, the spiritual center of Mt. Fuji worship. As the head shrine of over 1,300 Sengen shrines across Japan, it is a historic and sacred site registered as part of the Mt. Fuji World Cultural Heritage. Within the shrine grounds lies Wakutama Pond, a stunning spring fed by the snowmelt from Mt. Fuji that has traveled underground over many years. You can actually drink this pure Mt. Fuji spring water, known for its clean taste and sacred quality. It’s a special place where nature and faith come together—offering a truly unique opportunity to experience the blessings of Mt. Fuji.

Incredible guide and tour

Incredible tour, the guide was excellent, fluent English and you see the best hot spots of Mt Fuji. Very recommended for cruisers, good value for the price. At the end I recommend to have lunch in the fish market, it was outstanding.

Eye opening experience

We had a wonderful tour and learned a lot about Japan from our tour guide KK, he was great. He did it all by driving us around in the van and giving us fascinating insights into Japanese culture. It was a hot clear day so we fortunately got to actually see Mount Fuji from several different vantage points. It is amazing to see. KK was very knowledgeable, patient and we had a lot of fun hanging out with him for the day. We were picked up from the cruise port and everything went very smoothly. Definitely recommend.

Mt. Fugi Experience

Tour guide was amazing. Super nice and very informative. He really wanted to make sure we had a great time and make the most of our day. Even though we didn't get to fully see Mt. Fugi because of the clouds, we got a glimps of the bottom and enjoyed all the other places our guide took us to.

Wonderful tour

Outstanding tour. It is a moderate level tour wirh some walking through the shrine area and many steps near the waterfall (but yoylu can see the waterfall from an observation level and skip the steps if needed). Overall, Sunny Tours is an outstanding group to work with. They make sure everyone is comfortable and enjoying the experience. For two members of my group, the July heat in Japan was too much, so the company owner met us on the tour to help get them back to the cruise ship. I would highly recommend this tour.

Great tour company and itinerary. Although the clouds took over Mt. Fuji the day of our tour and we couldn't see it, the tour was filled with other stops that were informative.

Mt Fuji Trip

Our guide was Miu who was amazing. She was very knowledgeable and was able to relate and engage with all of the participants in our group. We were lucky enough to travel on a day when Mt Fuji was visible. Stops included a lake, waterfall, sake distillery, local food stall for lunch, museum and a shrine. She was also kind enough to drop past a fresh sushi store and a combini on the way back to the ship.
