Itinerary

90 min

Our itinerary Starts in Llanes, an hour’s drive away. This is one of the most chosen destinations in the summer of Asturias, both for its leisure offer, and for the beautiful places that can be visited here. Following our guide we will learn more about the most relevant places, its Casino, its tower, the 13th century, the Palace of the Dukes of Estrada or the Gates of Llanes. There will also be time for such well-known spaces as the square of “Parres Sobrino”, which made the rise to fame with the film “EL Orfanato”, which was shot in Llanes. Here we can enjoy free time to continue exploring our air, or to return to the places we liked the most.

150 min

Our next stop takes us to the village of Ribadesella, another gem of the Asturian coast. Once in the village, we will take a walking tour to feel the sea breeze while we hear the best anecdotes in front of the stately homes of this seafaring village. Here is also the iconic Sella River Bridge, the end of the International Descent celebrated every August. We will also have free time to eat and taste the most traditional dishes of Asturian cuisine.

20 min

After lunch, the tour takes us to the Mirador del Fitu, one of the most impressive natural balconies in Asturias. At its peak, we will enjoy spectacular panoramic views that open before us, with the Cantabrian coast on one side and the imposing silhouette of the Picos de Europa on the other. From this privileged location, we can take photographs and get to know the curiosities of this emblematic viewpoint. We will contemplate the surroundings and breathe the pure air of the mountains before continuing our route.

45 min

Our last stop takes us to Tazones, a charming fishing village that puts the perfect finishing touch to our route. Upon arrival, we will take a pleasant walk through its cobblestone streets, discovering its traditional architecture and authentic fishing atmosphere. We will learn the history of this picturesque coastal enclave while enjoying its colorful houses and the sound of the sea.

Five star treatment, at a very affordable price

This tour showed us areas that we would never have visited. Llanes is stunning, Ribadesalla we had an excellent lunch. We then proceeded to a fabulous view point in the mountains before a visit to the picturesque coastal village of Tazones. All of this was curated by David. The commentary was in fluent English, thank you for the insight into fabulous Asturias.

Very well organized tour! Beautiful views!

I highly recommend taking this tour with Buen Día! This was my second excursion with the company, and I experienced the same high level of professionalism from the guides. There were only three English speakers on the bus, and our guide was polite and attentive to ensure we understood everything. He speaks English very well, and the tour was highly organized. In addition, we had a fantastic driver! I felt very safe despite the winding, narrow roads. Thank you!

Not to be missed!

Our guide Ana, conducted the tour in both Spanish and English. She is very knowledgeable about each of the places we visited. She patiently answered all of our questions and offered suggestions for our free time. I felt very safe traveling the winding roads with our driver, Chus, at the wheel. I highly recommend this tour.

Operator response

No tours in English available

You will definitely get your daily steps in on this walking tour of Asturian / Catabrian coastal towns. I’m sure some interesting information about the sites was shared, but those of us who had signed up for a tour in English will never know. All remarks were in Spanish and no effort was made to translate anything into English, unless we asked specific questions of the guide. Unfortunately Buen Dia Tours does not understand the difference between providing a tour in English and simply providing a guide who can speak English. They really should not pretend that they are offering tours in English.

Operator response

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We sincerely regret that the tour did not meet your expectations regarding the language. We fully understand your frustration and apologize if the experience was not what you expected when booking an English tour. At Buendía Tours, we take this kind of feedback very seriously, as it helps us improve and provide a clearer service that meets the needs of each traveler. We will review this internally to ensure that the information about the tour language is always accurate and that what we promise is delivered. We appreciate your honesty and hope to have the opportunity to offer you a better experience in the future. Best regards, Buendía Tours España

History and nature of Asturias

About the excursion, very alive by the explanations of the monitor Marta I think it is called, very didactic explaining where we were passing, with a perfect clarity. Saint Vincent de la Boquera, yanes and Ribadesella. I'll recommend it.

Cancelled tour

Viator cancelled the tour. Very disappointed, next time I will go with another operator in the area.

Worth seeing as some of these places are not easily accessible unless you have a car.

Enjoyed seeing the beautiful coastline and beaches. We had a great guide, Santiago and even though we knew it was a Spanish speaking only he went out of his way to explain things to us in English.

Disappointed, bait and switch!

We have used Viators many times throughout the world. This tour was very disappointing. We paid for a tour in English and allotted our vacation accordingly, however when we got to Buendia at 8:30 am we were told that the tour guide would give the tour in Spanish, not English. We were told that the guide would announce in English the arrival times to be at the bus and that he would speak slowly. That didn’t happen, he spoke quickly and my husband and I spent the tour looking at Google Translate, since we had to look at the phone we couldn’t pay attention to the scenery and couldn’t understand him. Then we got to our rest stop after 1 1/2 hours but it was closed so we couldn’t use the facilities. We then spent the next half hour looking for facilities. That said we really didn’t get much out of the tour and were very disappointed. Viator should have texted or emailed me about the guide.

Spectacular.

Second excursion with Buenía and even better experience if possible. The places to visit, beautiful, and also with a sun of justice that made them look more. This time I wasn't disappointed anywhere. The Guide, Ana, excellent with her explanations and control of the times and we had Chus as the driver again. I recommend the tour 100% and to claim that Spain has villages that are very worth visiting.
