This one-day tour takes you from the bustling streets of Kumamoto City to the majestic heights of Mount Aso, the serene Kamishikimi Kumanoimasu Shrine, and the breathtaking Takachiho Gorge. The first stop is Mount Aso, one of the world's largest volcanoes, where you can see the active, intense white smoke and dynamic scenery. For lunch during the tour, you can enjoy local Aka beef. Kamishikimi Kumanoimasu Shrine, known for being the setting of a popular manga comic, is a mysterious place that has long been preserved in unspoiled natural surroundings. The last stop is Takachiho Gorge, where you can detoxify your mind and body in the mysterious scenery created by the abundant nature. You can also join the tour as a day trip by Shinkansen from Hakata Station! We recommend taking Sakura #401 from Hakata Station 7:58 – 8:36. Please purchase your Shinkansen ticket by yourself.

An unforgettable 10-hour day with breathtaking landscapes, an incredible meal, and an extraordinary guide and driver. Thank you to Memy who told us all the local legends of the mountains and temples, showed us how to pray and move through the temples, and who took such good care of us, and a big thank you also to Runa who drove us absolutely everywhere and who even modified the itinerary so we could see a statue we had mentioned without us even asking. Seri was an excellent guide and well versed in all of the locations on the itinerary. After some lengthy conversations, we even added a few locations to the itinerary such as the Roronoa Zoro statue, Franky statue, and a fresh water spring. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Kumamoto!

Memy was a wonderful guide who took us to Mt Aso, the Kamishikimi Kumanoza Shrine and the Takachico Gorge as well as giving us a local lunch. She looked after us extremely well, explained the history, geology, cultural aspects and myths of the region. She had booked tickets for us for the boat hire in the Takachico Gorge. She had the knowledge (and good English) to answer our questions. We would highly recommend her. Runa was our driver for the day. The visit to the crater was not available because the people who died in the crater are not removed. As long as this situation is not resolved, we cannot visit the crater. This situation has persisted since January. We should have been informed that it was impossible to roam the top of the crater. If we had known we would not have booked this excursion which was very expensive. . Lunch, boat tour... were great. The guide was exceptional as well as the driver!

It started to rain when we went to the gorge but we had a quick row. Our guide "Tommy" was helpful and informative. Beautiful scenery, tasty lunch. Our driver was skillful and pleasant as well. I hope to see more of Kyushu in the future.
