Your tour begins with transportation from Krakow to the town where there is a salt mine. Pickup from Meeting Point at a specified date and time. Transport takes about 30 minutes.
Upon arrival, the driver will take you from the car park and show you the main entrance where you will meet with a guide. As part of the visit, you will receive an individual entrance ticket to the salt mine and a professional yours language speaking guide. Visiting the Salt Mine takes place in groups of up to 30 people. You will also receive a set of headphones during your tour. The mine has 9 levels, the first of which extends to a depth of 64 meters, and the last one is 327 meters below the surface of the Earth. During the tour you will learn about the history of salt mine in particular historical periods. With a guide, you will visit a maze of corridors and a complex of thematic chambers where there are numerous sculptures, chapels carved into the rock and an underground lake. Feel the unique microclimate of the mine, which is ideal for people suffering from asthma and allergies, and feel the benefits for your health. After completing the tour you will return with an elevator to the ground. After the sightseeing, you will return to the car park where your driver will be waiting for you.

Guided Salt Mine tour with Cracow Top Tours.
We booked the Salt Mine guided tour with Cracow Top Tours through Viator. The pre tour communication was great and we were picked up by Oskar who was extremely friendly and explained everything we needed to know. It all went exactly to plan and was an enjoyable day.

Fantastic must-do tour whilst in Krakow
Our driver, Kacper was super engaging, was always keen to talk in English with us, and went over and above to offer local tips, recommendations and local information to us about how we could best spend our time in Krakow. He’s the kind of guy who put us at ease straight away, picked us up directly outside our hotel and could not have been more accommodating or friendly. Big thumbs up, and thank you for the recommend for the sausage in home made bread…we will try this before we leave!! Superb local knowledge and what a lovely guy. Would recommend 100%. The salt mine is not for those who are infirm or unable to walk distances on uneven ground. It’s a fantastic place to visit on a trip to Krakow, would highly recommend. If you’re doing a trip and have multiple visits in mind, allow me to suggest a rest day between tours such as this and Auschwitz-Birkenau - your legs and feet will thank you for it. Poland has been wonderful for us, the most lovely and kind people, everywhere is so clean and tidy (unlike the UK with its filthy and overpriced cities), and the strongest culture and Christian foundation to be proud of. Keep Poland Christian, your borders under control, and don’t give up your currency!!!

Great trip!!
Kacper was great, very knowledgeable and an overall great guy. Met us bang on time and was friendly and forthcoming and couldn't do enough. The salt mine was very interesting, well worth doing!!

Salt mine trip
Fantastic service. Picked us up from our apartment in a very comfortable minibus and walked us through to our guide. No queuing as straight through with this company. Glad we went with this company rather than sorting out ourselves
