Itinerary
We meet at the Molly Malone statue on Suffolk Street. You’ll board our comfortable coach, meet our legendary guide and fellow adventurers, then head west out of Dublin. There are quaint villages, lush countryside and even some castle ruins to see as we head towards the west of Ireland. You'll be crossing the width of Ireland this morning! On our way to the Ailwee caves we will take a scenic route wit a photo stop at Dunguaire castle
The Ailwee Caves in the heart of the Burren is Ireland’s premier caves system and a real treat for anyone who enters. The cave system is the largest in Ireland and has a treasure chest of both stalactites and stalagmites. This is a spectacular guided tour into this underground world that will amaze you at every corner.
Lunch stop at Fanore Village
We will board our trusty vessel and take a boat ride along the base of the cliffs for 1 hour taking in spectacular cliff views from the ocean! The cliffs rise high above you – imposing natural formations surrounded by the dramatic and lush landscape that Ireland is known for.
The Cliffs of Moher is Ireland’s most visited natural attraction with magical views of the wild Atlantic, once thought to be the edge of the world. They stretch for 8km along the coast and reach 214m at their highest point. You will have a spectacular experience here, which also includes entry to the Cliffs of Moher interpretive centre.
After your amazing adventure to the edge of the world and back you can reminisce about your wonderful day back in Dublin.

Our driver David was great very friendly and humorous! The tour was amazing and timed very well. Highly Recommend seeing the cliffs from the water and the top.
It was our pleasure to show you some of Ireland's most beautiful destinations. Thank you for your wonderful review, and we hope to welcome you back again.
Our experience was wonderful. The luxury bus was a 10/10, our driver was a retired Dublin Police officer and he was amazing, knowledgeable, and ensure we experienced no delays. The caves, boat tour, and tour on top of the cliff are a must. The only negative is the ad said you’d stop at a castle for 15ish minutes for pictures, and another stop in a village for a proper lunch, we got to experience neither of these on our tour.
Thank you for your wonderful review! We're delighted to hear you enjoyed the luxury bus, your driver, and the caves, boat tour and Cliffs experience. We're sorry for the confusion regarding the advertised stops. This tour does not include a castle stop, while a lunch stop is included. If you could please send us more information or a screenshot of the advertisement you saw to info@daytours.ie, we'd be happy to look into it, as it may have been a different tour or operator. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention.
The boat tour is definitely worth it. You can get some good pictures from the top, but you don’t really appreciate the cliffs as much as you do from the boat. It is a long ride from Dublin, but the bus was very comfortable and it was a small group. Also, don’t go on a holiday weekend (as I accidentally did) or the visitors center will be packed.
We're thrilled to hear you enjoyed your day with us! Thank you for your kind words, and we hope to see you again on your next visit to Ireland.
I really enjoyed this tour and thought it was very well organized. The guide was friendly, professional, and made the whole experience enjoyable. The only thing to keep in mind is that this tour is heavily dependent on the weather. For example, the Cliffs of Moher boat trip can be a very exciting adventure if the sea is rough—but only if you don’t get seasick! I stayed inside the cabin, and many people were feeling sick and throwing up. On the other hand, my husband absolutely loved it. He sat on the open deck the whole time, got completely soaked, and said it was the best part of the trip. When the weather is bad, you may not get a clear view of the Cliffs of Moher because of the fog and rain. However, if you’re lucky, there may be a short window when the clouds clear and you can enjoy the stunning scenery. Overall, I have no complaints about the tour itself. Just check the weather forecast before you book or go, and be prepared for conditions that can greatly affect the experience.
So many things I wouldn't recommend it the vehicle was so uncomfortable and no air conditioning the first stop to the cave it was just a waste of time the cliff and the boat was amazing view we stop to a place to go eat and they took for ever to serve us over all it was a bad experience wouldn't recommend it
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. We understand how important comfort is on a full-day tour, and we're sorry to learn you found the vehicle uncomfortable. We also appreciate your comments regarding the Aillwee Cave stop and the lunch service. While we're delighted to hear you enjoyed the Cliffs of Moher and the boat cruise, we're sorry that other aspects of the day detracted from your overall experience. Your feedback is valuable to us, and we'd appreciate the opportunity to discuss it further. Please contact us at info@daytours.ie with your booking details. Thank you again for sharing your experience.
It is the WORST TOUR I have ever taken. The bus was in very bad condition and WITHOUT AIR CONDITIONING. THE GUIDE WAS TERRIBLE.
Our tour to the Cliffs of Moher was fantastic! We decided to upgrade to the luxury tour which included the Aillwee Caves and a boat ride around the cliffs. Best decision ever! Our driver, David, was absolutely fantastic and took good care of all of us. I highly recommended booking this particular tour!
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We're so pleased you had a great experience and hope you made some unforgettable memories in Ireland.
I had booked a boat tour at the cliffs but the tour got cancelled due to low bookings. They offered me another trip which excluded boat tour and the caves and was for a lower cost. I had no choice but to opt for it. There was no refund of balance amount.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we are very sorry for the oversight regarding your booking. Please email us at info@daytours.ie with your booking details and travel date so we can look into your reservation and process the refund for the price difference. Thank you for your patience, and we look forward to resolving this for you.
The Cliffs of Moher and Ailwee Caves are amazing attractions on western Ireland. We had great weather and had plenty of time at each attraction. The caves are cold and a little slippery so dress accordingly. If I were to do it again, I’d take a tour that gets you to western Ireland and then the attractions via train and not a bus. Traffic is pretty brutal during peak season so our guide had to drive like a madman to keep us on time. My head still hurts from the fast turns and his heavy foot on the gas and the brake. The boat tour experience is 100% dependent on the seat you get on the boat. If you’re in the last group to board, you’ll be fighting to get photos of the cliffs. People sit and then don’t move for people that didn’t get lucky. The windows on the non-viewing deck level aren’t clean so you can’t get good photos. And if you get seasick easily — bring Dramamine!
Ok, let’s start with the good: the tour itself was fantastic. The Cliffs were amazing - and getting to see them from the water as well as on the cliffs themselves was really great. Ailwee caves were nice. Lunch was great. The less good: for starters, our bus had some sort of mechanical issue that made it beep every few minutes for 13 hours. Our driver’s driving could have been better, particularly on decelerations. Rather than slow down smoothly, he constantly pumped the brakes, which made us all quite car sick. Lastly, we got a weird conspiracy theory about the British and a potato genocide that somehow tied into Israel. I could have done without all that. It was weird. All in all, even with the car sickness and needless politics, the Cliffs and caves still shined.
