In this private Florida Everglades Airboat tour, your experienced captain will guide your craft across the river of sawgrass and cattails at speeds up to 40 mph (64 km), all under the cover of dark. As you glide across the swamp, you’ll hear the calls and rustling of the Everglades’ nocturnal creatures. Your guide will tell you stories about the Seminole Indians who lived in this wilderness, as well as the panthers, birds, snakes, frogs, fish and bugs that call this national wildlife preserve home.
In addition to this fascinating airboat adventure, you’ll also gain entrance to exhibit areas at Sawgrass Recreation Park during normal daytime hours. You’ll see many species both native and exotic to Florida, learn about a 1,000-pound alligator and interact with animals in the swamp yard exhibit.
Important Note: Pricing is based on a per person basis; regardless of number of people booking, you are buying out the whole boat for your private tour. All ages are welcome to enjoy the airboat tour. Children 3 years and under need not be included in the guest count as there are no additional charges for this age.

Concern for animal welfare in the reptile enclosures at Sawgrass Recreation Park
We decided to visit this park expecting a respectful experience with nature, but we left deeply disappointed. They keep alligators and reptiles in captivity within small wire enclosures, with noticeably stagnant, dirty, and unhealthily yellowish water. The worst part is that they use baby alligators for tourist entertainment, forcing them to pose for photos with their mouths completely sealed with thick black tape, which causes them evident stress. If you are looking for an authentic and respectful experience with the wildlife of the Everglades, do not come here. There are much more ethical options within the National Park.

We appreciate your visit and taking the time to write a review. Our animals are rescued and rehabilitated from injuries they suffered in the wild and they are not able to be released. We take special care to be sure our animal ambassadors are never over displayed or stressed in any way. The "tape" that is used to keep their mouth closed is actually an animal-safe, vet approved way to keep our customers safe while they enjoy this unique experience.

Wear headphones especially for young kids!!
It is advised to alert all costumers of the loud noise of the airboat especially for children so they can wear headphones as small children do not keep ear plugs in and the earplugs weren’t very good as one of mine tore early on!!!

Wonderful!
It was truly a wonderful experience! We had already done a day ride and that was great too! However, there is something really special about the night ride! I recommend it highly even if you have already done it during the day. We saw lots of gators and our captain, Disco, was very knowledgeable. He could spot a gator from so far away! We were all amazed!

Exciting & beautiful
My sister & I just did this tour. It was exhilarating. Our operator was informative & entertaining. As we have never been on an airboat it was a new experience. One to be remembered for a long time. We saw several crocodile's in their natural habitat.

Definitely a once in a lifetime experience!
So beautiful, and amazing wildlife. Go at sunset for the best of both worlds, light, sunset and then darkness.

Highlight of our holidays
Captain disco was brilliant explaining and answering all our questions we saw several alligators which was fascinating we did a private tour as there was 8 of us. This is a must excellent value for money

Sunset in the Sawgrass
Captain Andrew was fantastic and made sure our private night tour was an enjoyable experience. We went just before sunset and got the best of both with daytime and nighttime scenes. We’ll be back again! A very cool experience and well worth the visit.
