Itinerary
Visit the famous Maeklong Railway Market, one of the most unique markets in Thailand. Here, you will witness the incredible moment when the train passes directly through the market. As the train approaches the station, local vendors quickly pull back their umbrellas, fold their awnings, and move their goods away from the railway tracks to clear the path. Once the train has passed, everything is set up again within seconds, and the market returns to its lively atmosphere. At the market, you will find a wide variety of products including fresh fruits, vegetables, seafood, local snacks, and many inexpensive souvenirs. It is also a great place to observe the daily life of local people as they sell fresh produce and goods in this bustling traditional market. Don’t forget to take photos of this amazing and unique experience.
After visiting the famous Maeklong Railway Market, continue the journey with a short 20-minute drive to the original floating market of Thailand, Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. At the floating market, enjoy tasting a variety of delicious Thai desserts and local foods recommended by your guide. Experience the vibrant atmosphere as local vendors sell their goods from boats along the canal. Riding the boat through Damnoen Saduak was a blast, and seeing the train market in person is a must. Bow took such good care of us and treated us to the delicious mango sticky rice!
Annie made the tour feel relaxed and friendly. She talked with us like a friend and explained small things about the markets that we would not have noticed alone. Watching the vendors prepare for the train was very interesting, and being that close to it was a little scary but also fun. The Floating Market was colorful and crowded, with many things to see from the boat. The driver was waiting for us at every stop with the cool van ready. We had a really enjoyable day.
Poppy was very friendly and knew the area well. During the canal ride, she pointed out the wooden houses, local boats and a large monitor lizard resting near the water. We also passed many small shops selling handmade items and souvenirs. At the Railway Market, Poppy explained how the vendors work around the train schedule and showed us where to wait. Everything was arranged clearly, and we never felt lost in the crowded market.
Poppy brought a lot of positive energy to the tour and made the drive between the markets fun. She shared useful information but also gave us time to explore and take photos. Watching the train pass so close was unforgettable, and the coconut ice cream was a nice surprise at the end.
Both markets were crowded, but Bow made the day easy for us. She guided us through the busy areas and explained how the railway market works. On the boat, she pointed out different foods and shops along the canal. Bow was kind, knowledgeable, and took very good care of our group.
A great day visiting these iconic markets and seeing the beautiful countryside. Peter was very helpful in adding insights into Thai history and culture along the way. Highly recommended!
We did this private tour with Poppy and had a really good time. The train market was busy, but fun to see in real life. Poppy got us there at the right time, so we didn’t miss the train coming through the market. She also showed us where to stand for photos, which helped a lot. The floating market was nice from the boat. It was a bit touristy, but still fun to look around, try some snacks, and see all the boats and small shops along the canal. The car was clean, the A/C was cold, and the driver drove safely. Poppy was friendly, funny, and easy to talk to. She took good care of us during the trip and made the day feel comfortable. Thank you Poppy, we really enjoyed it.
Good tour with Lake. The train market was cool to see once, and the floating market boat ride was fun. We had mango sticky rice during the trip, which was a nice bonus. Nothing complicated, just a good morning outside the city.
We went with Poppy and had a really enjoyable morning. The railway market was fun because everyone was waiting for the same moment, then the train came through slowly and the whole market changed in seconds. After that, the floating market was nice from the boat. Sitting there with coconut ice cream while passing the small shops was a simple but very good moment.
A great experience at the local market, where the train runs right through the market. The floating market is definitely worth a visit. It is a bit more aimed at tourists, but still has a nice atmosphere. Our guide spoke excellent English, gave a lot of interesting information and took into account the wishes of the group. Everything was well organized. Definitely recommended!
