Itinerary
We'll start out experience trying aguas frescas
At this stop, we will dive into birria, a rich, slow-cooked stew from Jalisco. Made with tender, marinated meat and a blend of chilies and spices, birria is celebrated for its bold, savory flavors. Served with fresh onions, cilantro, and a squeeze of lime, this dish is a true taste of Mexican tradition.
At this stop, we will enjoy sopes topped with carnitas, a delicious duo that highlights traditional Mexican street food. Sopes are thick, hand-pressed corn cakes with a slight crisp, layered with refried beans, fresh lettuce, and crumbled cheese. Topping it all off are juicy, tender carnitas—slow-cooked, flavorful pork that melts in your mouth. Each bite offers a perfect blend of textures and rich, authentic flavors!
At this stop, we’ll savor Baja-style fish tacos, a coastal classic known for its fresh, vibrant flavors. Soft corn tortillas are filled with crispy, golden-battered fish, topped with fresh cabbage, a hint of lime, and a drizzle of creamy sauce. This light and refreshing taco brings the perfect taste of Mexico’s seaside cuisine!
At this stop, we’ll dive into a variety of tacos de guisado, each filled with flavorful stews like beef, chicken, or pork, slow-cooked with spices and herbs. These hearty fillings are served in warm corn tortillas, topped with fresh onions and cilantro. We’ll also enjoy a rich mole—a savory-sweet sauce made from chilies, chocolate, and spices—adding a deep, complex flavor to the tacos that’s a true Mexican delight!
At this stop, we’ll indulge in paletas, a refreshing Mexican ice pop made from fresh fruit, creamy milk, or even chocolate. With a variety of flavors to choose from, including mango, strawberry, and coconut, each bite offers a cool, sweet treat that’s perfect for finishing off your tour with a burst of flavor!.

This was a 10/10 experience! My 18yo daughter and I had a private tour because no one else was booked and wow! Adrian was our guide and he was absolutely wonderful, easy going, accommodating, knowledgeable, smart, and just fun to be with. We went to 6 places I would never have found myself, ate foods I never would have known to try, and really had an adventure. If there was anything we didn't want he made adjustments (my daughter does not eat pork but I do). Be open minded and adventurous and you will have a blast. One last bit of advice: do not eat the full portion at your first few places or you won't have room for the last few. I definitely got full quickly so be mindful of that. Its a good bit of walking too, so wear comfortable shoes - and dress super casual - these are not fancy places, but wow so delicious!
Turned out we were the only 2 so had a private tour. Food and guide were a 10. Would have liked to been taken 2 nicer places but food was great.
First and foremost, make sure to come hungry! There was almost too much food, but it was all really delicious so you do not want to eat beforehand. The tour guide was really friendly, the food was of good variety, and make sure to wear good shoes as there is a good bit of walking! Overall, a really good tour!
