You go to Everglades to feed yourself to the mosquitoes. Bar far the most overrated National Park I have been to, and I have been to majority.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear the Everglades didn't meet your expectations. The mosquitoes can certainly be challenging at certain times of the year, particularly during the warmer and wetter months, and they're a natural part of this unique ecosystem. We always encourage guests to come prepared with insect repellent and appropriate clothing to make their visit more comfortable. While we're disappointed your experience wasn't what you had hoped for, we appreciate you visiting and sharing your perspective. We hope you'll consider returning during the cooler, drier season, when many visitors find conditions more comfortable and the park offers a very different experience.
Absolutely not recommend! We were ravaged by mosquitoes even after applying strong deep woods deet spray. Mosquitoes attacked as soon as we opened the door of our car in the parking lot. What we saw wasn’t worth the bug bite pain we are suffering. After visiting multiple National parks, this Everglades tour would be the lowest ranked experience for us. We have done everglades airboat tour in the past and that was a much better experience. Saw a bunch of crocodiles, manatees & birds.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear your visit did not meet your expectations. Mosquitoes can be especially active in the Everglades during certain times of the year, and while insect repellent helps, there are days when conditions can still be challenging due to weather and natural mosquito cycles. Unfortunately, that's part of experiencing one of the world's largest subtropical wilderness areas. Thank you again for visiting, and we hope you'll consider returning during the cooler, drier months when mosquito activity is typically much lower and the experience can be very different.
Amazing, we saw so much wildlife, I had no idea how diverse the Everglades are, our guide was very knowledgeable.
My sister and I had a wonderful time on this tour! Our National Park Tour guide was engaging and knowledgeable. He (Bobby?) kept his 'eye on the sky' as foul weather was suspect, while maximizing our wildlife sightings. And he waited until he was certain before identifying a specific bird species, or water creature. He slowed/turned the boat to ensure every passenger was given an opportunity, shared the positives and challenges of the Everglades and the various regions/habitats, and entertained specific questions while ensuring the safety of our tour. We were rained upon and did not care! Mosquitos were manageable out on the water (plus there was a nice breeze). We would highly recommend! Downsides? He was strictly speaking (as advertised) so a couple of guests were a bit lost, and he did not introduce the "guide in training" who was on the boat with us which I thought was a bit odd since she was wearing official NP uniform.
We very much enjoyed the boat tour. Our guide, Bobby, was passionate about the Everglades, and it showed. We found him very interesting, and also got to see crocodiles, orchids, ibis, egrets, and many more species of trees and birds. A great tour!
When you get to the Flamingo Tour Area the first thing you need to know is even if you have the virtual voucher you need wrist bands for your entire party. The "booth" for that is behind the pink general store. Also, if you are going in the heat of summer... BUG SPRAY! I CANNOT stress that enough! The general has snacks and souvenirs so check it out! The guides are very knowledgeable and are very informative. They are also more than willing to answer any questions you may have. During our tour we saw different species of birds, we saw sharks, manatees, and salt water crocodiles. There are also varying plant species that you will learn about should you choose this excursion. I would do this tour again; however, I would prefer a cooler time of the year!
Capt. Nick was great. Our tour guide Finn was very knowledgeable. Enjoyed the trip.
Thank you for the great review! We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed the trip. Captain Nick and Finn make a fantastic team, and we’re glad Finn’s knowledge helped make the experience both enjoyable and informative. We appreciate you joining us and hope to welcome you back for another adventure on the water soon!
Really enjoyed the trip, and lucky to see all the key creatures. The trip is definitely worth the $100 for the couple, but the $235 entry fee to the park makes it expensive and probably not worthwhile. The good thing is the park entry is valid for a week, so would advise sharing that cost across friends and then definitely worth it.
Thank you for your review! We’re so glad you enjoyed the trip and were lucky enough to see many of the iconic wildlife species that make the Everglades so special. We appreciate your comments regarding cost. Just to clarify for future visitors, park entrance fees are set by the National Park Service and are separate from the tour. We’re happy to hear you found the tour itself to be a worthwhile experience and that you were able to take advantage of the park pass validity period to get even more value from your visit. Thank you for joining us, and we hope to welcome you back for another adventure in the Everglades soon!
Excellent way to see the southern end of Everglades National Park. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. We saw many birds, some snakes, and crocks.

The boat trip was excellent. The tour guide actively sought out and identified wildlife and plants on the trip. He was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions in detail. He also described the entire environment of the Everglades and the challenges it faces.
Thank you for the wonderful review! We’re so glad you had an excellent trip and that your guide helped bring the experience to life by actively spotting wildlife and sharing detailed knowledge about the plants and ecosystem. It’s great to hear you enjoyed learning about the broader environment and the challenges facing the Everglades—that deeper understanding is something we always strive to provide. We truly appreciate you joining us and hope to welcome you back for another memorable adventure!
