Our guide was excellent and knew extraordinary details about all aspects and nooks and crannies of the basilica. The after hours tour is amazing - so private, so quiet, no rush and they turn the lights on slowly to see the golden dome ceilings glow. Incredible experience.

This was a fantastic tour and I highly recommend touring the basilica after hours, when it is quiet and they can adjust the lighting in a way that captures it in all of its grandeur. Our tour guide, Romy, was a highlight - full of knowledge and fascinating information that helped us appreciate all that there is to see. We had two young her children with us (8 and 11) who were also able to follow along. This was one of the best tours of our trip and I highly recommend it. Thank you to Romy for a special experience!

So worth it to have the night-time access - fewer people, the opportunity to see the crypt, and a great opportunity to hear a detailed account of the church history and mosaics and Venetian history. Truly great historical tour of the Basilica and learning the culture of Venice and St. Mark. The tour by LivTours was in depth with a very knowledgeable guide Pamela. Needed no headphones or earplugs as the semi private evening tour was exclusive and allowed access to areas normally not allowed. Definitely a must do if you visit Venice.
