We saw a few alligators... Show after the boat ride not great.... Tourist attraction
Good mix of excitement and fear. Captain Jeff was very knowledgeable, friendly and funny. We saw about six alligators. We took a taxi from Fort Lauderdale cruise terminal to the park which was about $85. On the way back we took an Uber and it was about $45. It takes about 30 minutes.
About 15 years ago, we went to the middle of the Everglades and didn’t see one animal. We saw 4 gators and an alligator nest, so I was very happy with this place. Airboat ride was pretty pleasant. We did the animal encounter which was fun. A little on the pricey side. Liked the alligator show. Tour guides need to get Venmo.
Recommend hour vs 1/2 hour ride. We saw alligators, birds, turtles, lizards. Very informative and fun ride
Visited in February 2026. We paid a little extra for transport to & from our hotel on Collins Avenue, South Beach, Miami. Our driver was punctual and very friendly and the transport was an air conditioned Mercedes mini-bus, which was very comfy. The driver collected a few more passenger along the way and we arrived in good time. When we booked, we were offered an early morning or early afternoon ticket. We went for the morning ticket & we are really glad we did this as the sun & heat are not as intense and the park was free from any long queues when we arrived, so we were on our airboat within 40-minutes of arrival. The boat tour is around an hour and commentary is provided by the Captain, who was very funny. When we arrived back, we then went to the Live Alligator Show which lasts around 20-minutes, performed by the Gator Boys Alligator Rescue team. This was a good show. We then had time to visit the gift store before departing back to our hotel.
Okay so we were very fortunate as our hotel booked these direct for us. They collected us from the hotel directly. So no walking only issue here is you need a us number. Luckily our hotel guy was able to offer his. We were picked up and transported with two other groups. When we got there it is a holiday park, lots to do and see. However we were here for alligators and that's what we got. We got some intel on alligator Alley a strip of road that if you break down at night then advice is DO NOT GET OUT OF YOUR CAR! As no one will come due to the Alligators. You have to wait till morning. So the guide was excellent. The airboat tour was fantastic and they were very efficient getting people on and off the boats. We were with Drew and boat Renegade. It was fantastic, definitely a bucket list activity in the everglades. Next part was the alligator show by one of the Gator boys who's show is still available on Animal Planet he explained that if you get an alligator in your swimming pool it's free for someone to come trap and kill. However any other types of bugs or wildlife you will end up paying hundreds of dollars. Crazy! But fascinating. We had a great time here. Food was reasonably priced as well. One tip is I'd take your own water bottle to refill. Definitely go early morning to beat the heat as well.
Terrible! This is not the real everglades. We had animal encounter where 5 drugged animals were shown and patted. We left before the boat trip. It wasn't even everglades! And so touristy that we felt sick.
Very commercialized. I would recommend driving a little further and finding a smaller venue. You can still see all the telephone wires. The guide was 5 stars, great personality, very knowledgeable. Same with the guy who performed the show, great personality, knowledgeable. We only saw about 10 gators, understanding its mating season and they hide. I do believe would see more if we were deeper into the glades. We did one a few years ago that was deeper in the glades, in January so also not mating season. It was also a smaller venue and we saw probably a hundred gators. Our driver to and from the hotel, Ira, was amazing. Super helpful throughout the trip. As for the gift shop, 0 stars. I bought my niece an overpriced small stuffed gator for $32, stepped outside and realized some of the stuffing coming out of it and asked for an exchange. The woman refused, told me no refunds or exchanges. I switched them without her permission anyway but the audacity of this woman was simply outrageous. We had a group of 12, with the tips and other purchases we spent well over $1,000 and she expected my niece to go home with a ripped stuffed animal.
I had Devon as the presenter in the Alligator Rescue show that came with the tickets. He was super nice, quite funny, and evidently knew a ton about alligators and had no hesitation at all while dealing with them. Clearly a thoughtful guy who knew what he was doing and made it fun for the audience. Also had the Animal Encounter with Ethan, who was a great guy and clearly had a knack for animals. Gave a very informative presentation on each animal before photo ops and had a kind soul all round. Great experience in summary!
Not worth it. The"ride" thru the everglades was about 2 minutes, then we spent about 45 minutes just drifting iand circling in one place. Then 2 minute ride back. We spent almost the entire time in a canal, which according to the boat captain was not even part of the everglades! Would not recommend
