Itinerary
Meet us at our convenient downtown location and pick out bikes as we get ready to head out on the town. Meet your guide and fellow riders.
Rolling through the heart of China Town and in to Tom McCall Waterfront Park, our first stop is at the Japanese American Historical Plaza for a bit of history and a look at the ever changing cityscape.
Continuing on, participants experience world class bike paths and scenic vistas of the Portland skyline along USA's longest floating bike and walkway.
Continuing along the Eastbank we will ride past the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry for a brief explanation of this historic museum
Continuing to meander along the Willammette river takes us across the bridge named after the The Chinook word for "of the people". From the top enjoy vistas of local volcanos Mt Hood and the famed Mt St Helens.
After crossing the Willammette we will ride up to Portland State University to enjoy the Park Blocks, and if it's the Saturday 10am tour - you'll get to enjoy the splendor of Oregon's Largest Farmers Market.
Continuing along Portland's masterfully designed city layout and bike infrastructure we will roll through the Arts District. Home the the Portland Art Museum, Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall, and The Oregon Historical Society.
We will continue our ride into the Heart of Portland's Core. Nothing is more central to the Portland culture than books. We will point out the world's largest independently owned book store, an entire 5 story city block of books, maps and gifts!
Our final stop is in the Pearl District. One of Portland's finest and newest neighborhoods. We delve into the history of how this once collection of rundown warehouses became the cultural mecca of craft beer and art that is today.
Lastly we will ride onto our final destination at our bike shop in Old Town. Cycle Portland has been renting bikes and providing tours since 2008. Also, we're a beer and wine bar with tons of funky socks and a lifesize statue of a naked biker designed by Wyden and Kennedy, of the "Just do it" nike fame.

Had a great time with donovan seeing all of beautiful portland by bike. Big fan of the e-assist bike, made everything much easier and enjoyable. Donovan was very knowledgeable and took us to all the good places. Highly recommended!
Awesome way to see the city, Donovan was knowledgable and kept us all safe and enjoying ourselves The farmers market stop was delicious
We had a great time. We have a family of five - kids ages 11, 13 and 15. Our tour guide (Carl) was fantastic. Incredibly knowledgeable and thoughtful of the entire group. We had a group of 10 total people and he always made sure everyone was in the group. The ride was great - up and down the river. Learned so much about Portland. Would definitely do it again.
This was a great tour with Donovan leading the way! I felt safe the entire time and the e-bike was easy to operate. I learned a ton about Portland and enjoyed all the little neighborhoods and nuances that make Portland special.
Excellent way to discover neighborhoods in Portland. Pleasant route and interesting guide. I recommend this activity.
I was concerned about biking on the streets of Portland but our guide Spencer took us through the neighborhoods and over bridges with ease. A great way to see the city!
Easy to find-in a great older building near Chinatown. Renee and Spencer were great! Took the essential PDX tour. Lots of information about the city’s history and the bridges. Riding along river was perfect. Would do again just for the easy way to be outside in a bike friendly city and enjoy a beautiful day
Great tour. Spencer was a great guide. His knowledge was first rate and the PDX info was interesting. Co -owner Renee was super friendly and knowledgeable. Next time I will do 4 hour tour.
This was a great family activity. No strenuous hills, just a fun ride to parts of the city we’d never have seen and interesting insights into Portland’s history from our guide, Charlotte. Highly recommend this experience.
My 10 year old son and I took this tour. Our tour guide, Jay, was great! Very knowledgeable about the city and attentive to the way a 10 year old would want to experience the city by bicycle. We enjoyed our tour very much! My son gave 5 out of 5 stars! And I agree!!
