Really enjoyed this food tour in Encinitas! We enjoyed the tour Ben gave us. It’s a lot of fun to hear about some general history and “locals” kind of details regarding the area, all while enjoying great food and conversation. Encinitas is a super cute little town too! Definitely recommend this tour.
Sue was the greatest! Be prepared to come hungry. The Encinitas food tour started out with fresh-baked donuts. I have never had a donut that fresh! Then onto yummy sliders, airy pizza, a delicious taco, and ended with organic ice cream and a chocolate chip cookie that was out of this world. Sue's knowledge of the town was great; she showed us the alley art and ship homes and discussed each of the mom & pop stops with background information. I highly recommend this tour!
We had a nice variety of food tastings. Ben shared lots of interesting information. We enjoyed seeing things we would not have discovered on our own.
I went on Encinitas Food Tour with a group of friends celebrating a birthday. Ben was a fabulous food tour guide. He took the group to many points of interest walking through the city and was very knowledgeable on knowing the history and stories behind the scenes. Bend took us to Taco City which had very unique, tasteful tacos on a fun outdoor patio. We went to Culture Brewing Company for 3 tastings while Ben brought in delicious pizza from Gelati and Picatti for the group while we were having fun drinking our beer. We went to Third Corner Restaurant and had a delicious pasta dish while we were sipping a wonderful Chardonnay. We also stopped out Broad Street where we had freshly baked doughnuts to start our food tour and ending with a stop to local ice cream store. Ben took us down alley ways to show us beautiful murals. I highly recommend this tour. Ben was fun, knowledgeable, friendly, provided the tour with lots of interesting dishes and stops. We left the tour feeling very full and had a wonderful, fun day!!
Had a great time on a tour of 6 people, got some history and culture tidbits and sampled some delicious food. Ben the guide was very pleasant and accommodating. Highly recommend.
Easy walking tour giving you an opportunity to sample a variety of local food and accompanied by a knowledgeable Guide. Ask for Ben. He was excellent!.
Ben, our guide, was super friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. He is affiliated with Carlsbad Food Tours which we also did and loved. All the samples were delicious, used quality ingredients and weren't too filling, including the beer stop. The walking was fairly easy, but definitely wear comfortable shoes. Encinitas is a hidden gem! In addition to the food, Ben also gave us intriguing facts and history which really enhanced the experience. The downtown area has interesting artwork and looked very clean overall. It was bustling due to the Memorial Day weekend but it wasn't annoyingly crowded at all. We really didn't have to wait to be served anywhere. I highly recommend this tour!
Encinitas Food Tour- Enjoyable walk with good food, history and conversation! Ben is personable! Very aware of his audience- no rush. Just what we were looking for!
Ben provided a wonderful tour of Encinitas! We loved each restaurant/cafe and also the historical spots! Artwork was also introduced to us!
Wow! What an excellent way to learn about Encinitas while sampling delicious food and drink! My friends and I were celebrating a birthday and our guide, Sue, made sure to make the day extra special for us. She really went the extra mile. The food was delicious, the facts were interesting, and the conversation was fun! I highly recommend this tour - it was beyond our expectations. In fact, we plan to do another tour for our next birthday celebration in August.
