Itinerary
We will start by picking up our customers from San Juan and then make our way across the island until we reach the Rainforest area. We travel along many different cities in which the tour guide will share some interesting and entertaining information of Puerto Rico along the way.
We take in the beautiful view of the Luquillo Beach are as we keep making our way to El Yunque. We pass by a well-known location where local offer different culinary choices. A great way to spend another day with your family exploring our paradise! We only drive by the area, we don't stop but shared experiences have been known to be great.
After driving from San Juan to the Eastern side of Puerto Rico, we get geared up and ready to start our activities. We complete a moderate hike along the enchanting beauty of the wilderness that surrounds El Yunque, we reach a beautiful river pool area where we start our water activities. From natural waterslides to cliff jumping and rope swinging, we engage in an adventure that fills participant with an amazing feeling of life. Participants can choose between an adventurous experience or a calming and refreshing stay in our tour area as we bathe in the beautiful and refreshing waterfalls of El Yunque. Once we are done with relaxation and adventure we make our way back to our starting area for our trip to San Juan. You will be able to explore the land in which our natives lived experience the terrain in which they made their living and called their home. Connect with nature and walk out with a new way of looking at nature and life!

Pickup Locations & Times
Pick-Up Policy: Pick up starts 1 hour to 1 hour and 30 minutes prior to the selected tour schedule depending on the amount of stops the driver must complete. Your timely pick-up is important to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all guests. Please be ready at the main entrance of your designated pick-up location at the relative pick-up time. Your driver will wait up to 5 minutes before proceeding to the next location. If you miss your pick-up, you will be responsible for making your own way to the tour site to join the experience. We recommend planning ahead and being ready a few minutes early to avoid missing the adventure! Travelers staying outside of San Juan must arrive at the Caribe Hilton for their transportation service!

- This tour requires a minimum amount of 3 participants. If the minimum is not met with all total bookings, the tour would be suspended. Customers will get the chance to reschedule or get refunded.

- Participants must be physically capable of walking thru steep, rocky, muddy and uneven surfaces without assistance
- Back problems and pregnant women cannot participate on the tour.
- This tour operates based weather and river conditions.
- Use of lifejacket and helmet is mandatory.
- On Saturdays the hike is longer and more challenging since we depart from a different point.
- San Juan Tours reserves the right of admission - If a person appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, not following instructions or causing disruptions the guide has the right to cancel their reservation at any moment, and no refunds will be issued due to this. Persons with the previously listed health restrictions cannot participate on the tour. No refunds will be authorized if a person neglects to read complete description and does not meet the safety requirements and limitations on the day of the tour. The hike to water activities is strenuous but loads of fun. Rope swing was a lil’ scary. Be careful on slick rocks.

Our guide, DJ, was amazing. I will say it was quite the hike but worth it in the end with the slide and cliff jump! DJ made sure we felt safe and was very helpful throughout every step.

The itinerary is pretty deceptive. You drive there, walk to the waterslide, play in the water for an hour, then walk back. It isn’t a horrible activity, and we managed to have some fun, but it wasn’t at all what the description suggests. If you just want a family hike and fun in the water, it’s great. If you actually want to experience and learn about the rainforest, look elsewhere.

The tour was beautiful and absolutely worth booking. The hike itself is a bit difficult, but our guide Carlos was so careful and helpful. He was so funny and light hearted but also is very experienced and definitely knows what he's doing. The waterslide and rope swing is a must, if you're looking for a nice couple hour tour, this is the one!

The forest is very beautiful and the experience was a lot of fun. However our driver and tour guide, Carlos, drove like a maniac. He hit a guard rail and kept going. My girlfriend was getting car sick because of his driving. During the tour he barely talked and just didn’t seem like he wanted to be there.

Super fun. Our Guide was so nice to everyone and had a lot to teach us. It was definitely harder to climb the rocks than I thought it would be. I don’t think it’s meant for an older generation.

⭐⭐⭐☆☆ Our hiking and water tour in El Yunque with Carlos was a beautiful and enjoyable experience overall. The rainforest is absolutely stunning—lush, vibrant, and full of breathtaking scenery. The natural water spots were refreshing and definitely a highlight of the day. Carlos was kind, welcoming, and clearly familiar with the area, which made the tour feel relaxed and comfortable. The only minor challenge was a bit of a language barrier at times, which made it harder to fully connect and understand some of the details being shared. Even so, we had a great time and truly appreciated the opportunity to explore El Yunque. With just a little smoother communication, this experience would easily be a 5-star tour!
