From the top of "The maiden’s rocks" one of the most exciting views in the Rhodopes is revealed - the "Kalinchen dol" canyon. From there, an endless panorama of high sheer cliffs stretches in front of your eyes, creating a unique and impressive picture of natural beauty.
"Марково Reservoir" is an artificial lake located in the Rhodope Mountains near the village of Markovo. It is one of the largest reservoirs in Bulgaria and offers opportunities for fishing, camping, and various water sports such as kayaking and swimming. The surroundings of the reservoir are exceptionally picturesque, providing opportunities for pleasant walks and picnics in nature. The reservoir is a popular destination for relaxation and recreation among locals and tourists alike.
"Sveti Atanas" Chapel is a small Orthodox Christian chapel located near the village of Markovo in the Rhodope Mountains of Bulgaria. It is dedicated to Saint Athanasius the Great, a prominent Christian theologian and Church Father. I did the 4 hour tour with Plamen in Plovdiv, what a fantastic experience, my first on the e-bikes. Plamen is lovely guy and a first class guide, he was there for my hotel pickup to drop-off. The Rhodope mountains and the views are spectacular, this is an adrenaline filled must-do experience whilst in Plovdiv. Thank you, I’ll be back 👍🏻
Due to the bad weather, the tour had to be cancelled at short notice. Communication with the guide was totally friendly and open. Attempts have even been made to find alternatives. Unfortunately we couldn't do the tour, but I'm sure it would have been good
