Dublin Mythology and Folklore Tour with Irish Stories and Legends

Description
This tour is unlike any other in the city; an exploration of Ireland's rich tradition of storytelling, and how those stories have changed the curve of Irish History, shaped the nation, and made Dublin the wonderful city it is. In Ireland, storytelling is more than just a pastime - it's a high art form that has changed the very course of history itself.

Itinerary
Our meeting point is in the very centre of Temple Bar, we will pass through most of the Temple Bar area on our way to Grattan Bridge
We'll explore sites north and south of Dublin's famous waterway
One of the city's favourite bridges that straddle the River Liffey, famous for its ornate, seahorse-adorned lamps, connecting Parliament Street to Capel Street
We stop outside this famous old church and talk about the role it has played in shaping some of the city's secret tales as well as about some of the bodies it holds in its crypt. We also explore the grounds of the old Newgate Prison and Green Street Courthouse, a forgotten little corner of Dublin which has played an important (and all too often untold) role in our country's History
One of the city's most impressive facades and arguably the most important building in the country. We'll stop outside and explore the pivotal role that Irish Mythology plays in shaping modern Irish History
We'll finish up our tour at the foot of Oisin Kelly's famous 'Children Of Sir' Statue, in the centre of Parnell Square

Alan was an incredibly tour guide! My husband and I loved learning about Ireland through the art of storytelling. We loved hearing the interconnectedness about old Irish stories and myths with more modern times and strife.

Emily was a wonderful tour guide. She explained a lot of history at a good pace and told ancient lore in a great way.
It is a very entertaining tour, though the busy streets made it difficult to hear our guide, Emily, she still made it a very fun experience! She was knowledgeable and funny! The whole family enjoyed this tour!
Come ready to suspend belief and enjoy the wonderful stories incorporating history and legends told by wonderful tour guides.
Had a lovely tour with Ross, who cheerfully guided us through this city. He’s a great storyteller and knows a lot about the subject. He’s spontaneous and interacts well with the group. We definitely learned a lot today.
The end location of the tour wasn’t accurate but the tour guide was very knowledgable and had a great fun storytelling style. Very entertaining!
