Enjoyed it very much, highly recommend it. Boat ride was very fun to have. Learned the differences in Porto (white/Tawny and Ruby). Lunch was good as well with non stop refills.
A very enjoyable day. Our guide Igor and driver Paulo made it a lot of fun with no problems on the road. Igor made the long drive a bit of fun. We enjoyed tasting some good port wine, had a nice lunch and really liked the boat ride on the river. It does get to be a long day and seems like it could be made a little shorter, with some effort condensing the morning bus bathroom stop and lunch timing.
Great bus tour with a very nice guide who knows the valley well. Great discovery of the different ports and their culture. The meal at the restaurant was very good. Short one-hour boat tour at the end allowing us to discover the valley from the Douro. Very good value for money.
It’s a long day, but it covers all the bases. The last stop was more of a wine shop and less of a winery, which I was a little disappointed by. The river cruise was nice, but not on traditional boats and didn’t involve any educational information.
This tour was perfect for me to get a taste of the Douro Valley for the whole day. We went to some two wonderful wineries with great knowledgeable hosts and great porto! Lunch was tasty and authentically Portuguese at the first winery. The river cruise along the Douro was beautiful - a great way to end the tour before going back to Porto. Thank you to our tour guide, Michael and driver Albano.
Wonderful experience traveling through the scenic roads and river of the Douro. Licinio and Julio did a wonderful job of guiding our group, and made it fun, entertaining, and informative. Highly recommend!!!!
Super interesting, it’s a must-do. From the pickup, the Port wine tasting, to the boat ride on the Douro, it was great.
It was a brilliant tour, our guide Ricardo was fantastic and did everything he could to ensure the experience was the very best it could be.
Great experience - long day - fantastic wineries and tasting - lunch was delicious and plentiful. Our guide - Ricardo - was the best we have ever had. Kept us entertained the whole journey.
A super complete experience: central meeting point, the guide Milena was super fun, the wine was tasty, the lunch was delicious, the views on the cruise through the Douro Valley were beautiful, they explain both the history and curious facts about the valley very well, as well as the production process, history, and differences between the different wines. However, if what you want is to visit vineyards, this is not the tour. The tasting is done in 2 different places, the first is a winery where they explain the process for making the wine, and the second is a tasting in a room.
