Detailed meeting instructions will be provided before your tour. Return to port is planned no later than 1 hour before your ship’s scheduled departure time. I am on a 28 day cruise on Holland America to Iceland. As is fairly common for this area , this port was deemed unsafe for tender transport, so it was canceled. I immediately contacted the tour provider and Viator. Neither one was helpful at all. I spent almost an entire vacation day on the phone and chatting with these two - neither one will provide a refund. Viator points the finger at the provider and the provider points back to Viator, but neither one of them is willing to step up and help their customers. On my cruise there are several of us in this same predicament with Viator.I have six remaining Viator tours on this cruise, and I am canceling each one of them. I won’t give them my money and be treated the way I’ve been treated.
The bus ride is pretty long, but worth it for the amazing sites. The lagoon is beautiful and unique, and the black diamond beach spectacular. Our guide Vick was fantastic, with entertaining information/stories and a beautiful singing voice. We had a lovely day.
Vic was an amazing and funny tour guide. Extremely informative, kind, with just the right amount of humor to explain Icelandic culture. The sites were stunning.
Was left on the Pier. Had no contact from anyone via a sign or verbal. Saw no one looking for us either.
