I booked the Amboseli Safari for August 20 because that date was clearly available for booking on Tripadvisor, and I planned my entire itinerary accordingly. However, just ONE DAY before the tour, the operator contacted me asking if I could change my booking to August 21. When I explained that I already had other plans on the 21st and could only attend on August 20 as originally booked, I was told that the reason was simply because they had no other guests joining the tour on August 20, but they did on the 21st. This is extremely disappointing and unprofessional. If the operator cannot provide the tour on August 20, why was that date available for customers to book in the first place? International travelers arrange hotels, transportation, tours, and other activities well in advance. It is unreasonable to expect customers to completely rearrange their itinerary at the last minute simply because the operator does not have enough guests on a particular day. I booked and paid based on the availability shown on Tripadvisor. I should not be expected to change my travel plans because of the operator’s scheduling issue. If your travel dates are fixed, I would strongly recommend thinking twice before booking this tour.
