Captain Boo was very informative and respectful Very nice boat. Boo is very experienced. Knows the island.
We didn’t get to go on our trip be very sure of the marina you are going to. We went to the wrong one. We arrived early and had just figured out we were at the wrong place when we got a call from our tour guide asking where we were. We explained they said sorry we can’t wait for you to get here which we completely understood and expected. The gal said we could reschedule we said great and called the main office where we found we could reschedule and pay for the trip again. We thought the guide was saying we could reschedule because it was a mistake. Office gal was not very helpful just said we had to pay another $270.00 to go on the next trip. When we tried to explain talking with guide the office gal hung up. So the trip was missed and the experience ended with unhappy customers which I am sure happens quite often to them.
We’re sorry to hear that your experience ended on a disappointing note. We understand how frustrating it must have been to realize you were at the wrong marina and miss your scheduled departure. When guests are unable to make their trip at the scheduled time, we do offer a rebooking option at 50% off the original trip price when space is available. We apologize if that option was not clearly communicated during your call. We also want to clarify that the call was not intentionally disconnected, and we’re sorry the conversation left you feeling otherwise. We always want our guests to feel heard and treated with kindness, even when we’re navigating a difficult situation. We appreciate your feedback and hope we have the opportunity to provide you with a much better experience in the future.
My husband and I chose the 8:00 am tour, so the heat was not overwhelming. .Captain Kelly Pierce was our guide. He was tremendous! Such a wealth of knowledge and love for the island! We were extremely pleased with the tour. I highly recommend! Just want to add that my husband has mobility and vision issues. Very little walking was involved - mainly just on the boat ramp and from the golf cart into the buildings. Perfect for us. Shade was available on the boat if you didn’t want to sit in the sun.
Fantastic experience! Captain Kelly is awesome!
Wonderful trip over to the island. We saw dolphins and manatees. We visited a soap maker and an indigo maker who explained their crafts.
The tour exceeded my expectations. Our tour guide, Pippi, was outstanding. She was very knowledgeable and was enthusiastic about the tour. She even went above and beyond to rescue a hat and to make sure that we got outstanding videos of the dolphins.
Captain Boo was awesome! His love of history shone through and his enthusiasm and passion for the area was infectious. He was funny and engaging.
One of the best experiences when visiting Hilton Head Island. Our boat captain and guide (Dean H) throughout the four hours was very knowledgeable. The boat ride was great as well as the tour via golf cart of the historical sites on the island. Would highly recommend.
This was a really neat tour. Our captain, Dean, was very knowledgeable and friendly. The boat ride was entertaining and we saw lots of wildlife. Daufuskie island has a fascinating history and you will get to see several really neat sites. We really enjoyed the whole day. It was super hot weather but water was provided and as long as we were moving, it was tolerable.
If you've got the option, go on the tour with Pippi. She brings the tour to life and is committed to the customer experience, so they take it home with them. Learned so much and saw a bunch of wildlife. Don't bother taking a dolphin expedition, you'll see them on this tour as a bonus!
